Chilufya Tayali Faces Rape Charges
ZAMBIAN Voice executive director Chilufya Tayali, who is among the people advocating the removal of Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito from office, has been found with a case to answer in a matter where he is accused of raping a 23-year-old woman.
In this case, Tayali is charged with rape contrary to the Laws of Zambia.
Allegations are that Tayali on July 16, 2012 in Lusaka, unlawfully had carnal knowledge of a 23-year-old woman without her consent.

….. and the woman has just realised 3 years later that she was raped. Without her consent??? Was she asleep or was she just there watching (Ndeloleshafye) and waited till this time.

The incidence happened in 2012. Was it reported there and then? If not unfortunately for rape charges the victim needed to see a doctor have facts or physical presences of bruises in the private parts and other things like semen from the accused. Is such evidence still available now? I am not disputing the fact that the girl was raped. However, as we all know courts work with evidence.

The DPP is being sought over cases which are believed to have happened as far back as 2007.Tayali’s case is quite recent and all the evidence is still fresh.We should all realise that forcing any matter is a crime.Wayapwila umulilo pa nkasa.

Yes, but we are talking about proof. Even Nchito’s case were there is no proof, or false proof, he will be acquitted.It is as simple as that. So no need to get excited that Nchito is being prosecuted or Tayali is being prosecuted, bring evidence that sticks and the court will convict and pass judgement. No one is above the law nor beneath the law (Ntembo Nchito), Otherwise they go Scot free

Words fail me. Surely how does some one of my intellect and calibre find a word or comment for such drivel and stupidity. The zambian legal system has gone to the dogs. Lack of confidence in the economy, lack of confidence in the Judiciary. What is next with the PF government. I know what is next! In 2016 there will be a lack of confidence in their useless party and we will kick the fools out

Oh so it’s PF that arranged the Tayali rape together with the Judiciary? You are really a New educated Zambian. Am sure it must have happened at statehouse. EL or MCS must have duped all of us as we thot they where in opposition in 2007 when actually they where in statehouse organising rape in conjunction with the judiciary. The article says “…has been found with a case to answer…”, which means the ‘case’ has already been in court. Find out when the prosecution started and who is prosecuting before you jump to conclusions. It might be Rupiah Banda’s lawyers!

us who have being following this case of chilufya has being overdue.if u want to know more find chilufya tayali’s facebook page,zambian pact,zambian eye,zambian eye original,freedom of speech for updates.chilufya always updates his case once he is about to appear in court and its not a recent one but started going to court the time he was acused of raping in 2012
