First Lady Dates Kasama
FIRST LADY ESTER LUNGU IS TOMORROW EXPECTED IN KASAMA ON A FOUR DAY WORKING VISIT.
Northern Province Permanent Secretary HLOBOTA NKUNIKA disclosed the development to Mano News today saying the first lady will arrive in Kasama tomorrow Saturday and will pay a courtesy call on Northern Province Minister Freedom Sikazwe at his office.
Mr Nkunika revealed that the first lady will hold various activities in three Districts namely Mbala, Mpulungu and Kasama where she is expected to visit some vulnerable communities.
The first lady is also expected to grace the fundraising dinner for International women’s day in Kasama.
He has since urged the women fork to take advantage of her visit and turn up in large numbers and receive the first Lady with dignity and honour.

More of tax payer’s money. What’s wrong with ZAMBIANS first Ladies,does this mean once husband because a president wife automatically gets a salary or being a president’s wife is an employment. Very soon it shall be like in Zimbabwe where the first lady Gacy Mugabe went ahead and fired the vice president Joyce Mujuru. Food for thought, where are the former first ladies? Have they died together with their late husbands? Chiluba’s, Mwanawasa’s, R Banda’s and recently Sata’s first lady. They have all gone into hibernation. Titi, be reminded that the budget that parliament approves caters for the office of the first lady as well, so speak from an informed perspective. parliament approves the budget so madam Lungu is not wasting our money but spending what is approved by the Zambian parliament. if I may ask you a question, are you in touch with reality? I hope you are not just another critic without appreciating whether the law supports some of these activities.

A working visit. Can we please be informed in full details what this program will entail and what its aims are. If this lady is using public funds to fund her trips and what not, we need to be informed in detail what the aims are and at the end what was achieved.

Is this the decentralization we spoke about? One not need to travel just to galavant oneself and busk in the praises. This is why we need to integrate tehchnologies such as skype in our governence. Zambia needs to do away with the beliefe that the physical presence matters more than the objectives. We in the UPND will ensure accountability at all levels and reduce unecessary spending. Vote UPND.

When some one makes a statement asking for one’s credentials because he wants to know more about that person it does not and I repeat it does not mean that the person thinks that the said person should have specific credentials to be first lady. She has a first and Masters degree in sociology from University of Zambia and an MBA from Heriot and Watt University,UK.

Sometimes I feel ashamed just listening to the rubbish some Zambians can say. Honestly, can one need to ask what qualifications one has to have for them to he ‘first lady’? It’s just the ability to be ‘WIFE’ of the president. About her salary, someone has already told you were it comes from. My biggest worry is most idiets will comment sh!t without knowing the “CONDITIONS OF SERVICE” of the office of the president. To give you a clue, in the army, the wife of a captain is entitled to a car & driver. Even to take her for a gossiping session. Now add up!! Mind you, the office of ‘first lady’s is a funded constitutional establishment.

No one has said she needs qualifications to be first lady you dumb idiot. People want to know what the first lady’s history is. We have right to know. She is now in the public eye. Why are you so apprehensive? Even when people geniunly ask a question you think they are insinuating something. Whether she is as thick as a rock that doesnt matter to me so long as she is not president.. And the funding of the office of the first lady was only introduced by that sata of yours randomly. Sata stated that he wanted and susucceeded in making the office of the first lady to be able to be audited. If you were educatable, I’d have asked you to consider the HOPE FOUNDATION, MMCI, etc. But am sure you were in academic diapers when funding for these were being debated.

Me and the comments above to start with. I think we all want to know about people using our tax money and apparently working for us. If the electorate is the employer it only follows that we know our employees thoroughly. SO you are saying u voted for edgar and this first lady without even knowing their background. You are the people voting people in on questionable reasons. Is he your fellown tribes men or were u induced by some money? Why do you think we have a state house website that should include such information? Look if the lady has no education qualifiations it wont bother us. We jsut want to know the truth chapwa.

A president without vision. who would be proud? That is an unconscious reaction to our so called president. It just goes to show that the man is not capable of handling that position. Presidency has being cheapened. I think i will start vouching for my former garden boy in zambia to stand for presidency. It seems zambians prefer being ruled by incapacitated illiterates
