New Study Reveals Marijuana is Much Safer Than Alcohol, Tobacco
A new report has revealed that Marijuana is much safer than alcohol and tobacco.
In a recent finding first published in the journal Scientific Reports, Marijuana is said to be roughly 114 times less deadly than alcohol.
Alcohol was reported as the deadliest at an individual level, followed by heroin, cocaine, tobacco, ecstasy, methamphetamines, and marijuana.
Reports from previous studies have always ranked marijuana as the safest recreational drug, but it wasn’t known that the difference was this high.
This study was done by comparing a lethal dose of each substance with the amount typically used.
Marijuana was the lowest drug tested and was classified only as “low mortality risk” drug tested. All others were classified as “medium” or “high.”
This report will go a long way in convincing law enforcement agencies in many countries to lay less focus on marijuana-related arrests.
The authors suggest that, based on the results, these agencies would benefit from shifting priorities away from illicit drugs and placing them instead on keeping things like alcohol and tobacco in check.
In fact, the researchers believe marijuana to be so low-risk that they suggest a broad, regulated legalization of it in the paper.

And what the f^ck killed Bob Marley if it wasn’t Marijuana?They say its safe bcoz pipo do less dosage due to it being illegal now make it legal & see how it gonna kill pipo with overdose by flooding it on the market like alcohol.Marijuana stays in the body for a long period (months) while alcohol can stay for less than 8 hrs.Yikes!

they must be healthy in a way because Jamaicans never die.but the only difference with it and other drugs is that u can’t predict how some1 will act next…e.g if we all consume alcohol we will be drunk stagger here there a few insults we all call it a day..but with marijuana u can’t predict anything..someone can just start to pipi on Jane mulenga and educated will be thinking he is in Europe..and judge Joe will be busy convicting everyone..u just can’t tell what reaction one brings..that’s why it isn’t legalized

A poorly written article that is not specific. It reminds me of the way the PF cadres talk. YOu need to state in particular what “safety” you are talking about. Becuase marijuana can be lethal to one’s mental state due to its effect in terms of psychosis. However alcohol might not lead to that. At the end of the day it is all about what one personally defines as safe and dangerous. It is about what effects wouldnt bother you the most on a personal note. SOme people are happy to do away with sanity and high iq levels..just ask the pf cadres

The author of this article has never smoked Marijuana, that is why he is writing like that. Ichamba make alcohol seem like a picnic game. You can give a 10 year old alcohol with little or no effect but not Ichamba. DEC arrest this man he wants to pollute our human race, he is a danger to humanity.

Marijuana smokers are not productive,see its effects and what its doing to the likes of phatako pake,his own man tutu,his own mental-jaw breaker, kakoklwe, Lun gu chapona chakolwa and most of the rest, excluding New ed Z. Guys here is a free advice,won’t charge you. Drink beer,much safer for you. save water as ecl and his late predecessor has failed to provide as wit enough of the amenity.
