PRISCILLA MWILA, Lusaka
An unidentified man who was involved in a road traffic accident and taken to Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital by a Good Samaritan on February 22 last year has been hospitalised since then.
Levy Mwanawasa General Hospital acting principal administrator Gertrude Kasanka said in an interview that no relative has identified him to date.
“We have a man who has been hospitalised since February last year after a road accident. He was in intensive care unit (ICU) from admission day to November last year,” she said.
Ms Kasanka said the man is paralysed and unable to talk but depends on nurses for assistance.
She said the team of nurses has named him Elijah for identity purposes.
Ms Kasanka said he is currently occupying a room in the high-cost section where he is receiving adequate treatment.
She said management has not considered taking him to a hospice as he needs close medical attention.
Ms Kasanka has applauded government for providing resources that have enabled them to take care of him.
She has, however, appealed to the public to help the hospital identify the man and his relatives.

For sure capture him and forward his image to ZNBC for easy identification. ZNBC shall not charge you. You can also send it to Times of Zambia and Daily Mail Newspapers. Try these and see if a solution can be found. Continue with the same spirit. Good work. God bless you.

The patriotice front has again proved just how much of a failure they are. They have failed to improve the economic plight of many zambians such that relatives and families would go to the extent of ignoring and leaving their own relative in hospital just so they can avoid the high cost of treatment. Many years after independence our people still cannot afford basic needs. We in the UPND will ensure affordable medical care for all. we will ensure free quality medical care for the poor alongside private medical facilities for those who can afford to pay. We will also introduce improved but affordable medical schemes and insurance. Vote UPND if you do not want to forsake your ill relatives

the useless one is the one that cannot read a simple statement which states that a person recieves security information willingly by secret services officers. The fools is the one that believes anything he hears such that even if the journalist that reported on the article later refutes it, he continues believing rumours without proof. Do you now see that you are the useless fool here? Good afternoon

Take time the read the article instead of rushing to post comments @ the 3y3 the article states the opposite of ur claims.I think let the hospital use both ZNBC TV and radio which hz a country wide coverage to make announcements.(Height body complexion, app age can help)otherwise thumps up to Nurses for caring for the needy.
