Editor,
I wish to appeal to government to seriously consider regulating the importation and selling of skin bleaching lotions such as Caro Light. This lotion has done more harm than good especially among the womenfolk.

36 Responses to Regulate The Sale Of Skin Bleaching Lotions
At the end of the day you cannot dictate to a person what they do with their bodies. You can only disseminate advice on the negatives and benefits of such products. The PF has failed on this again. In this market of bleach products we in the UPND realise that there are some products that are safe and carry less risks to the user. Rather than outrightly ban them, like they did with tujilijili, we will ensure that we research on these products and only allow those that meet the consumer standards for us on humans. Rather than outrightly ban these products and lead to a black market which is even more of a problem, we will face this issue head on. Vote UPND
Mune we are just pushing the agenda forward. The PF need to be schooled as to what is policy based approach to leadership. Come 2016, I hope you will have your reg and voters card ready to do the right thing and vote the UPND in
As I was saying before tumfweko hid my comment, I said New Educated Zambia is just a good debater. No matter how much they insult him he keeps on debating. Thumbs up. We are following and solidly behind you!!!
Telemundo, we in the UPND are mature debaters. We only want the best for this country which has been taken for a ride by the careless and clueless PF. Please in 2016 elections make sure you have your reg and that you are ready to vote UPND. Thank you and keep following events. Also take time to look at the UPND website which you can simply google. Have a good weekened mwana yesu
So now you standing controlling abantu ka? Just leave them alone even if you ban the product they are able to buy online. So imwe just leave Jaribu people alone it’s non of your business. If someone is happy with how they look let it be and move on with your life and stop putting your big noses in people’s life. Nosey morons!!!!
@chief of grief, tomba noko. It is because of people like you that Zambia is not developing, rigid thinking. Sho you always wait for government to regulate you instead of using common sense?
Tumfweko needs to implement and introduce a censor system . We need this site for serious and well thought out discussions. We in the UPND are open to constructive debate and will not promote any foul talk from our members.
Why should I payt tax to debate and research harmful skin products that ultimately result in cancer and cause me to contribute more of my taxes to foolish things……..ban the products……this is no debate issue for developed countries…..why should we debate pointless topics…….in a developing country, priorities should be clear………ban the products…….
when the youth that are the future leaders and development facilitators are getting unwanted cancers and shortening their lives due to illegal products that have more disadvantages than benefits, how are you going to implement those development priorities. Look even during an economic crisis there is need to address the various social issues we face. This is why we have agencies specifically funded to sort and disseminate information on such products. We do not need to pay them anymore than we are doing. It is time they used the budget allocations sensibly and had something to show for it.
Are we going to regulate what soap or toilet paper people must use? Freedom is simply the right to choose the good and the will of an individual. Many women (and men) do not use skin bleaches but those who choose to should not be denied their right. Same applies to Gays. You (and certainly me) find it very disgusting but if it is between consenting adults, we should protect there fundamental human right This is the freedom of choice which our fore fathers fought for and some died for.
