PF Will Be Taken Over By Rupiah -Luonde
Father Richard Luonde says genuine PF members should wake up and realise that their party is slowly deviating from its core principles on which it was founded.
And Fr Luonde says there is too much hatred in the nation which can degenerate into anarchy if not tamed. Fr Luonde said it was sad to watch President Lungu sidelining long-serving PF members who had lost a lot in fighting the MMD. He said the Patriotic Front was taking Zambians for fools by embracing corrupt elements who were fought and removed from power in 2011. “It’s like we Zambians, including myself, are fools, because I was one of the people who strongly spoke against the rule of the MMD. When we stood on the same platform, some of us as priests, with the PF under Michael Sata, we saw what was obtaining in the MMD, that there was too much corruption and they had run down the country’s economy. But today, we are just seeing that it was simply the change of power from one hand to another. It is the same leadership which we removed which is being entertained,” he said. Fr Luonde said he pitied those who had been in the PF since its formation. “It pains to see the PF, three years on, beginning to embrace those that were rejected by the Zambians.
How has the MMD reformed to be entertained by the PF? What has changed for them to forget those who fought with Mr Michael Sata? One of those ministers that have been appointed [Michael Kaingu], he tore the president’s speech in Parliament, saying that it was rubbish. Now that ‘rubbish’ today is rewarded? All this is looking down at the people who struggled. I feel pity for those who fought with Michael Sata from inception,” he said.
“The genuine PF members should sit down and see that their party is slowly deviating from what Mr Michael Sata stood for. They should wake up and realise that their party is deviating from the core principles on which it was founded. It is embarrassing and disheartening to see the people who fought hard for the removal of the MMD being sidelined while people from the MMD are being entertained. This is what is going to kill Zambia because there is too much pretence in Zambia. This is why we have observed that things are not going well in the nation. But the patriotic Zambians pretend not to worry. They simply burn inside and forget that by burning, they will easily shift into depression and end up dying.”
And Fr Luonde said what had happened to Director of Public Prosecutions Mutembo Nchito was a sign of how much hatred his accusers harboured against him. He said Newton Ng’uni, who pressed charges against Mutembo, had the right to raise his allegations against the DPP through a proper legal channel that calls for the setting up of a tribunal. “Those people had every right to ask President [Edgar] Lungu to set up a tribunal to investigate those accusations levelled against the DPP, but because they did not have proper evidence, they took that route,” Fr Luonde said. “As Zambians, we should not be full of hatred. There is too much hatred in the country, and this can degenerate into anarchy if it is not tamed.” He said there was no way people would go to great lengths pushing an agenda which was clearly in violation of the existing laws. “It is easy to start a war than end it. Trying to play with the law in this manner is dangerous. If [we are] not careful, this will blow into anarchy,” Fr Luonde said. He said the DPP’s office, being constitutional, must be safeguarded by the appointing authority, who was the President in this case. “But if the appointing authority is quiet, it raises questions,” Fr Luonde said. He said the entire judicial process was being abused by a few selfish individuals whose manoeuvres were full of hatred.
But still within the judicial system, there were men and women who were sincere and lived by the law. Fr Luonde said all the hatred towards the DPP emanated from the high poverty levels in the country. On Monday, Lusaka magistrate Lameck Mwale discontinued the case in which Ng’uni took the DPP to court on various allegations, prompting Mutembo to enter a nolle prosequi in his own case, on grounds that the complainant did not allow the police to investigate the allegations.
In his ruling, magistrate Mwale said it was trite law that the DPP had powers to discontinue any case, including his own.

This man actually has highlighted a trend that’s developing in Zambia, tolerance of crooked and corupt politicians. Banda is a corrupt goof but how he has now become an Edgar darling shows what Edgar himself is.

father luonde has raised some interesting points. Let those with ears and eyes, listen and read. It is very true that the PF is going against its alleged principles of putting the development of the nation as priority. The PF has become obsessed with the grip on power. It is also saddenning and embarrasing that an old man such as banda who is supposed to be taking a mentoring role for the future youthful leaders is busy gallavanting and influencing decisions for his own benefit. Lungu has been compromised and cannot ensure a transparent functioning of the courts. Please let us vote in the UPND and once and for all deal with this problem.

FR.LUBONDE,wth all due respect to your office.i find it very suprising at how you look at things.your statements particulary this one are difficult to swallow.you always speak wth a folked tongue.as a clergy,is there righteousness in what u are saying..that all MMD members are bad people and therefore associating wth them is sinful before the holy Lubonde?IS THAT WHAT U ARE TELLING US? are u sure the MMD left a faint economy?are u realy being generous wth truth.?!..for me,i will ignore u and keep my eyes open.

Remember without MMD support to the PF in the last by elections, PF would have been outvoted by UPND.
When they made the alliance during the campaign period there was no condemnation, now that they are sharing the cake things have gone sour.

Father Luonde has no moral and personal intergrity to comment on the state of affairs in the Nation.
To begin with Father Luonde is no longer a presiding priest of an Anglican Church, the reason are known, and I’m not obliged to disclose them here. Even using his Title of FATHER is a misnornoma, He is a disgraced former Priest!
Secondly the so called father Luonde is an active member of Rainbow Party, so no one should take seriously as a Clergy when he speaking. Take him as these untrusted Politician!
Thirdly he is part of Post Newspaper strategy to bring ridecule to the ruling Party and HE Edgar Lungu, Let it be know that members of the imfamous CARTEL which will never RULE this Country.

. mmd when with upnd are not corupt. i think lets be realistic. condeming one another will not help our nation reconcile and move forward. as a nation we need people from all corners of our nation, upnd,mmd ,pf,fdd,zpp ,etc. why should these parties bring divission in our land. what comes first i believe is zambian. let us also learn to forgive one.
