Woman Wires $1. 4 Million To A Nigerian Man She Has Never Met
With easy access to the internet, meeting new people and making new friends has proven to be a bit easier than before.
Social media and online dating has have proven to break boundaries as more and more people are meeting their lovers online. We have even witnessed people meeting online and actually becoming soulmates.
Recently, an American woman known as Sarah, wired $1.4 million, that is about R17 million, to an online African lover she has not met.
According to DailyMail, the lady, who has since divorced twice and was searching love, sent her lover, Chris Olsen, the money over a period of 18 months.
“An attractive person came on there and said ‘wow you look like you wouldn’t hurt a fly. I said ‘wow this guy’s really handsome, I can’t believe he’s talking to me!,’” the woman was quoted saying.
She said that the man has been requesting her to wire him money as he wants to go to America to marry her.
Chris Olsen also claimed to be originally from Italy, but currently in Africa for business, adding that he has been trying to make his way back to America where he relocated 18 years ago.
“In June last year, she sold an apartment she owned to wire him $550,000 bail,” reported the site.
According to DailyMail, Sarah has paid for this man’s hotel bills as well as his lawyer’s fees as he claims he keeps getting arrested on false charges.
Although anyone looking in would smell a rat, Sarah believes that her Chris is telling the truth and that he intends to marry her.
“I have questioned several times whether or not this is a scam. I am 95 per cent certain that Chris is telling me the truth. That this is legit,” she said.

- Met a man who spoke sweet nothings to her, she fell inlove.
- The man, Chris Olsen, is originally from Italy, moved to the U.S, currently in Africa for business.
- Olsen Keeps asking Sarah for money for things ranging from hotel bills to bail money.
- They have never met.
- Olsen’s accent keeps changing.
- Sarah believes she is Olsen’s wife.

This is what happens when African governments such as zambia does not economically empower it’s citizens. The citizens go to any means to aquire money be it illegal means. What is also shocking is the scale of theft. A reasonable person cannot steal from a woman such large amounts. But can you blame these desperate Africans when their government leaders such as in the pf are enriching themselves with millions. The Africans then get surprised when they are not trusted to visit such nations. Vote upnd to ensure economic independence of citizens

It means that the UPND will ensure they put in place economic empowerment policies meant to improve the live’s of zambians and in that way avoid and prevent such cases ever being committed by zambians. This issue is about a poor lady who has been swindled by the usual Nigerian crooks.The moral of the story is that people should be very careful when dealing with anything online particularly where money has to exchange hands.Always keep tight what you already have.The business of politicizing any topic should be kept to a minimum by a any normal Zambian.

Mwaiche! Kuno ku stangwa people have money. Ordinary person kwisa? Nga tashimonwa monwa ku zambia tekwonse. What the f*ck do you mean by ‘unconfirmed recipient with unconfirmed transaction?’ You can send out any amount of money, but the FBI are always on the look out for red flags. Besides, sending money to a different country using a bank transfer requires a good amount of information thus, senders and recipients are very much confirmed.

The moral of the story is that insecure folks will go to great extents in order to seek the approval of others. This woman is first of all obese, and to top it off; she has been divorced not once, but twice. It should be easy to smell a rat in such a situation, but desperation is capable of desensitizing the olfactory system. Much in the same way that people blindly follow TB Joshua, other pastors and prophets, and POLITICIANS. To the rest of us, it is very apparent, but not to them. These are the people who would ‘suck for a buck and do something strange for a little piece of change.’
