President Lungu Advised to Embrace Spiritual Guidance ‘You Need God In Your Life’
A Lusaka based Clergyman has proposed that Republican President Edgar Lungu considers engaging three or four spiritually upright men of God who will guide him spiritually.
Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) House of David Pastor in-Charge Goodson Kamanga disclosed an interview that this aspect has been ignored for several years now by successive leaders.
Pastor Kamanga says Zambia is a Christian and should therefore have men of God who should be guiding the Head of State on how best the country can remain on the right path spiritually.
Pastor Kamanga notes that the Head of State has advisers in areas such as economic affairs, politics, among others but has no one to guide him spiritually.
He says it is for this reason that the President should consider engaging a few men of God who will be able to stand in the gap on his behalf so that issues of calamity can be seen spiritually and be avoided.
And Pastor Kamanga says the President should be commended for breaking the culture of not communicating whenever a Head of State is sick.
He has since called on men of God in the country to come together and stand in the gap so that the President may come back home in good health.

The president needs direct access to God himself. He will be praying himself, reading the bible and meeting godly people. He just needs to be committed to a genuine bible believing and practicing church.E.g Assemblies of God, Anglican, Baptist, UCZ, Baptist, Evangelical or Pilgrim, Apostolic, SDA etc.
God continue to bless guide and protect our beloved President in Jesus name!

cheap politics of some pastors. so he wants the president to create a pastors’ desk at statehouse. so that he can be going their wearing a crazy-colour suit in the name providing spiritual guidance. after a prayer he asks for a job for his relative. I mean, was it not their late president who claimed he would rule by the ten commandments. The chap forgot that zambia has a constitution that every head of state needs to abide to. I agree with you New Educated Zambian (not that I am a supporter of UPND, which nonetheless I am). I agree with you more on this point and I quote “Please people need to realise that running a country is not like running a church.” People are gullible when it comes to religion and rarely think through things.A pastor, for example, can get away with mediocrity and no person will stand to question the mediocrity all in the name of ” he is a man of God”. This is not so and it should not be so when it comes to running a country. Religion becomes dangerous when it is used as an opium of laziness and most of the time that is what it is.

Just wake up at 2am in the secrecy of your bedroom and pray for him! God will hear you if you are sincere! Clearly, the motives of this Pastor are ulterior and impure. Like some one has insinuated above he thinks lungu is a gullible jackass to be conned of a hefty presidential tithe and offering! God is not accessed by intermediaries. This pastor is crazy if he thinks the president should have pastor’s advising him. What are those “issues of calamity” which can be seen “spiritually”? This is nothing more than a job application. Unfortunately, that’s how some pastors work, they assure you that there are certain things they are seeing in your life, spiritually, and that you need their prayers. If we are to develop as a country, we need to move away from the current religious environment which classifies God as a super-hero waiting to give you your desires (miracle money and all those shenanigans). There is nothing wrong with being self-reliant and knowing that you’re responsible for every decision, and not waiting on someone upstairs to bail you out. The whole religionization of Lungu’s illness is ridiculous.
