LAZ Condemns Davis Chama For Attacking Judge

The Law Association of Zambia has strongly condemned Patriotic Front Secretary General Davies Chama for attacking High Court Judge Mwila Chitabo over his decision to halt the tribunal appointed to investigate Director of Public Prosecution (DPP) Mutembo Nchito pending judicial review.

LAZ President George Chisanga says the association finds Mr. Chama’s reference to Judge Chitabo’s decision as illegal, inflammatory, unacceptable and uncalled for.

Mr Chisanga says the totality of the statement by the PF Secretary General is in fact an assault on constitutionalism, the rule of law and the due process that must apply in a constitutional democracy like Zambia.

Mr. Chisanga has told a media briefing held in Lusaka today that the fact that the castigation of the High Court Judge has been made by the ruling party to which the republican President is also its leader and who himself is a lawyer, is a further cause for grave concern.

He says this open attack on the person of the Honorable Judge is a direct affront on independence of the judiciary which all well meaning Zambians have a duty to protect.

Mr Chisanga states that it is manifestly clear that the statement by the ruling party’s Chief Executive Officer was made in the main, out of ignorance of the law and procedure for challenging real or apparent grievances relating to the manner in which judicial officers handle cases.

He states in order to avoid such misfortunes, LAZ strongly urges the Acting Attorney General to give guidance to the PF government on the legal avenues available to it in redressing any grievances that may exist against Justice Chali or Justice Chitabo in the manner they have handled matters of the DPP particularly as the matter is still in court.

      VERY LATEST:

LAZ President George Chisanga must be shitting in his dirty pants now that his Cartel Judge Chitabo has rescinded his earlier diarrhoea decision of blocking the tribunal. News on CBC television says he has now thrown out Mutembo Nchito’s application, so the tribunal must go on.

Is it not because he has heard that H.E. President Lungu is coming back? This judiciary MUST BE DISBANDED AS ITS JUDGES ARE ONLY CROOKED CRIMINALS syphoning the Cartel oil money Kabimba made while in govt.

Yes I second chi Simon, this cartel group is so deep rooted bane!it is a big bunch of all the big fish in the lake, consisting of Judges,Arttoney Generals, such as the musas of this world,Dpp,OPand LAZ,the list is endless,we are yet to see but it is a tough battle,EL needs man power or else he will give up,they can over power him.If its going by rules of this whole game,LAZ is wrong by condemning PF Sg,why not condemn the Judge who Abrogated the laws of the land, instead they charge on the person who fights for what is right,Reflect, the president of the nation has the right to Terminate and appoint any body in this nation,so why should a judge mare judge oppose the presidents order?in his absentia,he puts a directive to the stay or reinstate the so called DPP.where do u place him? Have they taken over before he is pronounced Dead?this needs a seriously rulling.

The whole judiciary must be disbanded. A tribunal is a constitutional provision to verify allegations and the the three former chief justices were correctly chosen to probe Nchito. The Cartel knows that Nchito was abusing his position so they do not want him probed because corruption saves the Cartel’s interests. The President has powers to disband the judiciary.

When the late President M.C. Sata (May His Great Soul Truly Rest In Eternal Peace (MHGSTRIEP), constituted the Chikopa Tribunal, it was the same judiciary judges who did not want to be checked.

So from this misconduct, it is clear the judges are always behaving as though they were above the law. Nchito cannot be a close and business partner and friend of Mmembe and you expect him to be a fair DPP.

The Post is the most corrupt newspaper because they used to trash or belittle the Constitution, as a mere piece of paper, just to support their Cartel corrupt friend in Wynter Kabimba. William Mweemba was a better LAZ President not the current Cartel LAZ President, shit he is.

The LAZ must redeem themselves from misleading the nation. They must earn the respect they once had, because they have been caught up in misinterpreting of the constitution. The nationals have lost trust in them and feel that they are not an authority in their claimed area of expertise. Now we are looking at some lawyers with suspicion. “They are guilty until proven innocent”

Lungu has an “explosive cocktail” of diseases; HIV and AIDS, rotten liver and kidneys, cancer, alcoholism, and the mixology of diseases goes on and on. Lungu is a moving sarcophagus. Stop him from wasting national resources there in South Africa. Self-inflicted tragedy and cataclysm.

Ba LAZ let’s be realistic. How do you expect respect whenyour judges and speeches go against natural justice. Most of the rulings are motivated by protection of fellow corrupt judges and not public interest. How important is Ntchito and M’membe that everyone has to dance to their tunes? By the way who cheated you that Law profession overrides all other professions in Zambia while corruption is so rife in an organ that has to promote rule of law?
