Dear Editor,
We Zambians are so hypocritical.We mostly think we are the only nation that is closer to God hence avoid talking on issues that affect the nation in a pretext of unity and One Zambia One Nation crap which does not and will never exist untill we come back to reality and face head on this tribalism and hatred that is slowly eating up the country.
Zambians believe that when we publicly tell Tongas to stop tribalism,that means we are dividing the Nation.Only hypocrites and limited thinkers think in those lines.
Since myself i’m not a slow or limited thinker,i will continue talking about it so napapene ndesosa.
This just shows that i love Tongas more than all of u pretenders.
On public u say sweet things about Tongas then in inbox u say something different.

Last weekend in Choma,the Clinical officer at Choma General Hospital named Mr Mapulanga had assulted two Tonga women at a shabeen after they were heard celebrating Edgar Lungu’s collapsing.
Initially,the Tonga ladies were mocking the District Chairlady Mrs Sikute telling her that
“Your president has collapsed.We shall again celebrate his death until our president HH is voted in.”
Mrs Sikute started aguing with the two ladies until Mr Mapulanga lost his temper and beat them up.
The two assulted ladies are from Shampande Township of Choma.
This assult case is active in the Choma Police Department.
So,should u hypocrites continue avoiding talking about tribalism?
-Exposure is important.
-Knowledge is power.
-Broad mindedness is vital.
Wake up from slumber u hypocrites and let us help our Tonga brothers and sisters!

Tradition says the Tonga came from the north, perhaps from the Maravi people or the Tumbuka. Their claim to be a separate tribe rests only on their acceptance of a common name, the Tonga. Until the coming of the Ngoni in 1855, they had been a matrilineal people and had never possessed a centralized government.
The Tonga (also called Batonga, Lake Shore Tonga or Nyasa Tonga) are an ethnic group living in northern Malawi. A related ethnic group also called the Tonga are found in Zambia and Zimbabwe, with some in Mozambique.

HH is not a small god for the Tongas. HHis rather respected and cerebrated just like the way Mandela was in South Africa.
For us Tongas, HH is more superior that Edgar lungu. That why Lungu failed to harm HH wen he searched his house because he feared that even the Embasy park is eying would have been destroyed in just seconds.
Tongas are found in all govt department even extreamely sensitive ones and can be easy to blow the country in peaces if we so wish; but that will never be our desire unless we are pushed against thae wall.

If you want to complete stop tribalism you should allow all tribes in the country to rule. If you select only 1 or 2 tribes to be ruling, then you will create a big problem for the country. any person from any tribe can rule Zambia and not only from 2 regions. Try what i am advising you and prove me wrong. What is happening now is that if someone comes from western, north western and southern then they are called tribalists and should not be voted for and if one comes from the Eastern, Mucinga, Luapula and Northern its fine they should be voted into office. Try to put or field a westerner, southerner or north westerner on PF as President and let them win, then this noise will come to an end. One Zambia One Nation

I am Tonga but I do not think HH is the better person for presidency of our country. I support even more of Lungu than HH. So your conlusion does not carry water at all. If today Magande was to stand as president of this country, I would choose him over Lungu even though am not Tonga. Its quality we ar looking at here.

I find your article rather foolish, childish, void of any iota of truth and one that can only originate from a charlatan. You think all Tonga people should be insulted because you heard two people in Choma issue tribal remarks and that should warrant you to call them tribalists! You are not competent enough to try and push the agenda you are trying to. Simply because you acquired some basic education somewhere and may write a lousy article like that in English, you think you are all wise enough to comment on issues you least understand!
Do you actually know what some of your clansmen say on radio about Tonga people and other ethnic groups? Do you, you pig? You think some of us who hear these things every day and keep quiet are foolish? You think we do not know how to write articles and complain? I will take time to educate you imbecile, that we do so because we do understand the dynamics of life properly. If you hear one Namwanga insult it does not in anyway mean that all his/her clansmen are like that. Have you ever heard of the term “socialization”? No, I do not think so because you are too idiotic!

Thats right man, spot on….I am also tired of this stereotyping….I am Bemba and I am tired of people thanking me for voting Edgar…….. Iam Tonga myself and I speak Bemba very well, so if happen to be in northern province and I insult HH it means Bemba’s are tribalist’s ka? You are an idiot of an editor. You are not Chibwe, you are impersonating the name to suite what you want to drive at…but its helpful to comment intellectually, and objectively…please avoid sweeping insults and such derogative statements…while we know there are some Tongas who are tribal, just like there are some Bembas who are tribal too it is folly to paasing useless comments. To generalise that and make inferences or projections to an entire tribe lacks scholarship…lack good science if you wish, lack respect for others

Super Human, you are simply great. People are not bad but a person might be. It is indeed not good to generalize. I am from the east and my close friend is from southern and we talk either languages when together. Shame to those who are still think tribal and limited in vocabulary to insults all the time.
