Zambia Under Twenty coach Hector Chilombo is saddened by Zambia’s exit from the 2015 Senegal Africa Youth Championships “despite having played so well”.
Speaking to journalists at Caroline Faye stadium in Senegal this evening, Chilombo said the loss was painful especially that Zambia and taken command of the game and managed to score as early as the secomd minute through Dave Daka.
“I am very disappointed what would have been our second goal was disallowed. It is painful to exit in such a way” Chilombo said.
The coach is however happy that the talent exhibited by the boys is a true testimony that Zambia has a bright future.
This evening Zambia lost by two goals to one against Ghana in match that Chipolopolo had several chances at goal and,a goal disallowed just before half time.
The junior Chipolopolo scored their only goal in the second minute through Dave Daka.
With this result,Zambia is out of the tournament and their last game against South Africa on Sunday is marely a formality. South Africa have also been eliminated and this game will be more about pride betwen the two southern African states.
Earlier South Africa lost by two goals to one against Mali.
