Open Letter To The President: Set Tribunal That Will Benefit Zambians And Nchito’s

LETTER TO THE PRESIDENT

16/03/2015

H.E EDGAR CHAGWA LUNGU

Your Excellency Sir,

RE: SET A TRIBUNAL THAT WILL BENEFIT ALL ZAMBIANS

I write to you on the above captioned. I hope you are getting better by day as I pray to the almighty that this letter finds you in good health. This letter is of national importance Sir, ignoring it would be ignoring the entire 14 million Zambians that are affected by the dwindling economy.

Allow me to first question your motive behind probing the Director of Public Prosecution DPP Mutembo Nchito? What wrongs has the DPP committed now which you didn’t notice when our Papa, the late president was still alive which you didn’t see in the DPP which you have seen or noticed now? Of what benefit has it got to the people of Kanchibiya, Kankoyo, Malole constituencies or Cover Hill ward in Mangango? I see no benefit to these people over the probe of the DPP Sir.

To the tribunal committee of former chief justices, I would be happy to know how much tax payers money they are going to pocket just to probe one particular individual Mutembo Nchito? The money going in these individuals pockets would have been used to build new clinics in Dundu Mwezi and Chitika areas where people are suffering and are in need of important services from your government Sir.

With the little that I have pointed out to you Sir, I would be happy just like many Zambians would, if you and your govt spent your energies in probing the economy of our country. Can you and your govt quickly put in place a tribunal that will look at things that are affecting the majority suffering poor Zambians.

We as Zambians, are not interested in any other tribunal at the moment but in that which will probe the recent closure of Indeni. Why has your govt failed to bring in the crude oil feed stocks in our country? What is the true govts position over our ever depreciating kwacha? What will your govt do to the road contractors that have gotten billions of Kwacha from govt and have constructed very shoddy roads which have potholes already? Isn’t that stealing govt funds by the contractors Mr President?

Your Excellency Sir, the few from the many concerns that are there of your running of govt which I have raised requires setting up a serious tribunal, to look into the economy as priority number one. Any other tribunal you are setting up does not in anyway benefit the majority suffering, poor and poverty stricken Zambians.

Your quick response to the needful will be highly appreciated by the majority Zambians. I believe this letter will help you better our Zambia so as to realize the dream for a better Zambia for all Zambians.

May the good Lord grant you peace, healing, wisdom and blessings as you preside over the nation of Zambia.

Yours truly,

Kenny Ng’ona
UPND YOUTH LEADER

    @Steal
. . . Rule of law is the essence of good governance with integrity as the foundation. But in the DPP’s case as the author has observed (paraphrased): where was the Acting President, Minister of Justice, Minister of Defence, Member of Parliament and Member of Cabinet Hon. Edgar Lungu in late President Sata’s government when the DPP’s issues were in the public domain?

    Obviously, integrity suffers here.

Sensible but a bit too late, the Morons are already sworn in and sacrificial lamb is already on the altar. Mark my words, nothing sensible will come out of this tribunal.

You can tell the level of maturity in that letter that the young person is definitely upnd member. However such letters mean nothing to pf office bearers as they are very closed minded and so far uo their behinds such that their thoughts are clouded by Matuvi. Vote upnd bane. We are tired of this joke of a government

BA NEZ I AGREE THINGS ARE TERRIBLY WRONG IN THE RUNNING OF THE NATIONAL AFFAIRS AT THE MOMENT. NEVERTHELESS, SUGGESTIONS IN THE LETTER FROM THIS YOUTH ARE NOT PRACTICAL. HE HAS TRIED TO TALK ABOUT THE THINGS WHICH ARE ALREADY IN THE PUBLIC DOMAIN. BUT TO SUGGEST THAT THE GOVERNMENT SETS UP A TRIBUNAL TO LOOK INTO THE WHOLE ECONOMY IS BEING A BIT TOO OVERZEALOUS I THINK.

Sensible letter from the young man. We need answers to the depreciating Kwacha, high electricity tariffs, high mealie meal prices, lack of fuel, high taxes at the border, high price of tok time and now high DSTV subscriptions.

I only agree to a point of encouraging Edgar Lungu’s govt to do more on developmental/economic issues. But for Nchito, he definitely is a threat to justice, good governance and national integrity. As UPND, you may sympathize with Nchito only because you are politicizing. Do you know that the only way you can bring sanity to the DPP’s office, should the holder misbehave like Mmembe’s Nchito is doing is by setting up the tribunal? Not even UPND, in their normal senses, except if they are politicking, can agree to the behaviour of Nchito. The solution is to put in such offices, reasonable Zambians and not individuals spoiled by people like Mmembe, or else consequences are this wastage that for now, can not be avoided!

Chipasa inge is right, having such a DPP like Nchito in office will only favour his friends with money and will continue delaying justice worse still to a poor person. He just have to go period!

It seems Chipasa inge & investigator have pre-judged Mutembo based on what has been said consistently by those who petitioned for the Tribunal.
Let Mutembo answer to those charges openly and not in secret so that we can judge when we have heard both sides.
