Kabimba, M’membe Briefly Detained
The Lusaka Magistrate court briefly detained Rainbow Party President Wynter Kabimba and Post Newspapers Owner Fred M’membe before the two were released on bail.
This is in a matter where former President RUPIAH BANDA has dragged them to court for contempt and defamation.
Meanwhile, Mr. M’membe was strongly reprimanded after he referred to the charges against him as foolish.
This was after rendering an apology and indicating that its was not his intention to committee the offence.
And attempts by the defence to have the mattered sent to the High Court for constitution determination failed.
Lusaka Magistrate Kenneth Mulile also refused the defence’s request to have the accused persons acquitted on account that former President Rupiah Banda who is the complaint was not in court.
Mr. M’membe and Mr. Kabimba has pleaded not guilty to the charge after the court ordered that they take plea following the dismissal of their applications.
The matter has since been adjourned to April 27th for commencement of trail.
And on a sad note, retired High Court Judge, Justice Cosmas Kabamba has died.
Justice Kabamba died on Monday in Ndola.
Funeral and burial arrangements will be communicated later.
This is according to a statement released to ZNBC News in Lusaka by Judiciary Public Relations Officer Terry Musonda.
Justice Kabamba once served as Ndola High Court Judge in Charge.

On behalf of the UPND I would like to convey our deepest condolences to justice Kabamba. It is always a huge loss when we lose the legal brains of this great nation. Coming to the issue at hand. It is a clear sign that there is something fishy and personal between RB and mmembe. This is further compounded by the weird close relationship between Ruphia, once a strong critic of the PF leadership. Mmembe cannot react this way if all was ok with the judicial system It is clear to see that mmembe knows there are under powers here at force. Ruphia must be shielding himself using the influence of lungu on the judicial system. Please let us vote for UPND to bring some sanity to our judiciary.

Hakainde Hichilema,HH, will be a worser manipulator of the judicial system because he does not even fear God, him being a Freemason or fearless Satanist. While Andy Mazoka put up a very good and civilized UPND Constitution of a maximum two five year terms for anyone to be President for UPND, HH has removed this requirement and left it open ended, hence he has been UPND President for over ten years. So what guarantee is there that if, NOT WHEN, HH becomes Zambia’s President, he, HH, will respect the two-term limit enshrined in the Republican Constitution?
One would only hope that these Satanists are not involved in Wille Nsanda’s death because Nsanda was a tough defender and grassroot mobilizer of the PF. It is a big blow to PF.
Mmembe is very useful to this nation despite his gayism. He is preventing us, the PF, from slambering. The nonsense he keeps writing is good for this nation. Somewhere somehow some people need to act as whistle blowers or even clueless noise makers. My husband says “Ichalo tachitalala ngo musunga”.

If a high profile man like mmembe can say that in court surely it shows that people have lost confidence in the judiciary. Pf all things fall apart is coming to pass.

At time I like JJB coz he is not like NEZ who just keeps on blaming the president bcoz he is paid to do so.Bidden has just showed that he can criticise but where its not neccesary to support foolish behaviour he can stand up and be counted.Am not prasing him am just trying to be truthful here.Thumbs up JJB

Surely you as a PF supporter should find strange a situation whereby some one you labelled as corrupt pre 2011 even now sharing the same plane as your president. And you say you fighting corruption?
