Late Republican President Micheal Sata’s daughter has advised protesting graduates that if you cant get employed by the government, create jobs for yourself by selling tomatoes and not get paid as as tool for spreading propaganda.
She made emphasis that those who are uneducated have made it through in life even after not attaining higher qualifications and that the so called ‘educated’ graduates should take a leaf from them.
Mutale Stella Sata posted on her Facebook page the following:
Stella Mutale Sata: If you can not get a job, attempt to create a job for yourself. Don’t get utuma cardboard and write ‘Graduate in Acute Poverty’ on them. Abanenu balaya ba shitisha ko tomato. It is a shame that graduates want to sit and beg for jobs while their uneducated counterparts run the informal sector and get things done. Umusebanya weka weka.
Even in the good book bali lemba ati Learn to Work with your own hands so that you may win the respect of outsiders!
Young people should refuse to become the tools of propaganda. Much has to be done!
We need to give up this sense of Entitlement. Fyamu myaka yaba Kaunda ifyo!

Tulandeko ati “ubukopo”. The private sector can only blossom if Govt of the day puts in place a deliberate policy that allows its citizenry to access funds. I take off my imaginary hat to your comments guys but if you follow my point nikamba kuti let there be industries to accommodate the growing number of people who are capable of contributing positively to the development of Zambia.Silva Catering is a brilliant one in a million who have made it in business. What about the rest of the people who have excellent ideas but with no capital to employ?

This is a stupid girl. she does not need to work because money will always come to her for doing nothing because of her dead Cobra. she will also enjoy the dead cobra’s house which is being built even though the dead cobra will not sleep there. Not every graduate need to create their own jobs. Why can’t you ask Lungu or Inonge to create their own jobs rather than depending on Tax payers money?

“..I find it absurd that JJB sees it fit to compare the whole of poor zambia with a privilleged girl…”
If you are blank which is normal just stay quiet. Making noise unnecessarily sometimes exposes your foolish side. Did I say that I compare her to whole Zambia? There are other women who were possibly in her class, same brain capacity but decided to be housewives.

you dumb git, are you not the one that keeps going on and on about how people should make it in zambia because this privileged little girl has made it? My point was exactly saying that people have different stories and reasons for where they are. Do not just look at everyone with the same glasses and expect them to do as you think they should. Others are innovative while others are academic and thus are restricted to working in the traditional way. Now with those six boys that were demonstrating, do you know their background? Do you know the limitations they have? Please JJb grow up and take your head out of your backside. Ati ba Judge kwisa. Busy denting the UPND name foolish

Iwe JJB na Kakolwe, Mulekeni NEZ because mupuba. Its very difficult to reason with NEZ because of his shallow mind. I wonder what kind of people he manages to convince to join his party. The chap is just too shallow minded.

Most importantly, you people who go to UNZA for studies, understand what you are going to study there. This is the more reason we find ourselves on the streets. It s not just a question of graduating, but graduating in what? Some courses offered at the University are not worth following, because they never provide you with a life time skill. I have always said, parents should play a bigger role in advising their children. You are graduating but the industry have nothing to do with what you did at university, then what do you expect. You are as good as one who even never went to the University. So watch the space.

Some people here have said that Graduates are RESTRICTED (?!) to formal employment? I think that is utter nonsense. Graduates are the ones who are supposed to start businesses that grow into large corporates because they learn vital skills be it accounting, engineering, ICT or whatever their chosen field is. To say that poor graduates cannot make it because of their background is untrue. The secret to success does not lie in capital, it lies in initiative, creativity and persistence. So, as someone who is not a daughter of a past president (which is what people here seem to have problems with) I would like to say, you so-called educated people, excercise those brains and do something for yourself. The truth will not stop being the truth just because a “Rich” person has said it.
