Now Patrice takes FAZ to FIFA Over Non-Payment

Sports Minister Vincent Mwale confirmed in Parliament release of K3 million payment for Dario Bonetti but revealed that Patrice Beaumelle has also gone to FIFA demanding payment.

“Bonetti was wrongly fired by FAZ despite advice from the then Minister of Youth and Sport Honourable Fackson Shamenda not to fire the coach. The then Minister advised FAZ to handle the issue of Bonetti with caution so that the country does not suffer sanctions but they went ahead fired him.”

“As sanctions for FAZ, we have told them we will not pay another former coach, Patrice who has also gone to FIFA. We have told FAZ to ensure they find money and pay him.”

Meanwhile, an unpaid local coach is set to take FAZ to FIFA too for non-payment of dues.

When are we going to have managers at the FAZ? The current group is very defective in management.
The unpaid local coach is Patrick Phiri and is owed more than K50,000.00.
Faz should have paid Patrick some money from the US$80,000.00 they received as a bribe from Bin Haman.

WHY DID THE GOVT PAY THE DEBT OF A FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION?DOES IT MEAN THE GOVT WILL BAIL OUT ALL THE SPORTS ASSOCIATION IN THIS COUNTRY? FAZ DOES NOT LISTEN TO THE ADVISE GIVEN TO THEM DESPITE NUMEROUS ADVISE PEOPLE GIVE THEM.WHEN GOVT WANTS TO ADVISE FAZ THEM, FAZ RAN TO FIFA SAYING GOVT IS INTERFERENCE IN THE RUNNING OF FOOTBALL BUT WHEN THEY HAVE DEBTS THEY WANT GOVT TO PAY FOR THEM.IS THIS NOT GOVT INTERFERENCE.

So FAZ is above the law. All other statutory benefiaries of govt resources are subject to auditor general’s oversight. But hey not FAZ. Can we please stop wasting our hard earned taxpayers money on an entity that does not appreciate!!!
