Tell that to JK, Mark II or Mampi. You will kill them with laughter. if we were many using one dialect like Nigerians do we would have a big market for our music. Yourubas are 37 million yet they are just one of the 137 tribes in Nigeria. all these tribes use that funny sounding dialect which is neither English nor local

we can’t compare us to Nigerians because we are not originals,we have lost our culture somewhere, e,g if a Nigerian says oh my godo, its cool,if a Zambian says toiret he is the joker of the day,because what we Zambians aim at improving is our vocabulary,our speech.we want to improve on a language which we had adopted and we seem to want it more than our own,we dress like whites,talk like whites eat like whites,we are simply not original,simply coconuts,black outside but white inside.shame

their was a big debate with parents and the reintroduced syllabus where parents didn’t feel comfortable teaching their own children local language,they didn’t seem to be interested in it,and the more we ignore it the more poison it is to the nation, what we need is originality back,only upgraded, I mean creating somthing new,bring back the vitenges and make new designs,bring the beads,bring back kalindula only and some base,bring back ichiyato,wider,sojo,bwalyako.we have to start from their somewhere,so Zambia can stand out
