‘Every work is important as long as you eat, dress and settle down all the basic needs. A doctor may feel more superior than a fisherman, but because he cant fish, he will need some fish from a fisherman. An engineer may feel very much skilled and superior than a simple garden boy, but he needs someone to clean and get rid of trash and rubbish out of the yards.
The truth is that most of people who are doing well wouldn’t want to shepherds of cattle, but we need beef for our delicious meals. So the truth is that we all depend on each other. With the shortage of employments, this is not the best time to be selective with what we can do. I’m a very educated fisherman in my field doing my services at the conference of Luangwa and Zambezi river, that is Luangwa Feira. Its possible to earn k200.00 as minimum cash per day.
If you cant catch fish then buy and sell you will raise something for a living. I know some will get offended by this. But the truth is that being at school or college does not give you the distinction of geting a better job. I am writing to my fellow poor school leavers to do what you can to raise something to take you to school. I am doing fisherling skills during my holidays to raise something for my school and I have been doing all sorts of work to pay my fees at school.
I’m proud of my works and by God’s grace im completing my health course next year.im proud fisherman big time, are you proud of your work?

There is nothing strange about this story.Different students from poor families do different things to complete their studies. Some even sell charcoal on the charcoal. It all depends on one’s vision.

Very shallow thinking-think beyond fishing! Zambians have really run out of ideas:fishing,charcoal/logging,selling tomatoes as for Stella/Sakwiba,etc are all caused by a selfish diabolical regime of chimbwi no plan! People have become so despondent & really do not know the roles of their thieving leaders & let alone the reason they pay tax & how & where their tax is being spent!Illiterate levels have really soured under PF-leaders are running away from their responsibilities & are justifying this to their illiterate gullible Zambians!Let us demand equal redistribution of our finite resources from our leaders, though Lungu is not my leader! When you vote for a failure or a poor leader do not complain the consequences thereafter! How many people can fishing or selling tomatoes or charcoal will be sustained radically & for how long! Let us vote for prudent & proactive leaders otherwise we will continue justifying the absurdity & unjustifiables!

Ba Sam ,we hear u are not satisfied with the guy suggesting to sale raise his funding through fishing,u think he can do better,u think he is degrading himself.you see Sam u are actually who isn’t doing any better, you are happily employed aren’t you,now let’s picture that fisherman comes to work with you,say after five years the company is liquidated and u all lose jobs, who do you think will suffer the most to feed himself, the fisher man or you Sam? you are actually the one stuck here, you just need more followers to be stuck with you

You see, that boy is doing fishing only for the sake of making funds to enable him to go to school. Education, a basic right that has become only something the privileged can afford. Now, it is evident that this guy is not doing fishing because he wants to and neither is he settled on using fishing as an entrepreneurship source of income for the rest of his life? Why? Because every person has a choice of what they want to do and have ambitions.

It is still common sense that the government is needed to provide an enabling environment where both businesses and formal employment can grow.

Its really painful to see air headed bloggers failing to understand the roles of their leaders(government) that they elect into office & let alone justifying the unjustifiables due to illiterate levels under PF which have really soured hence paying tax gullibly! Please,do not comfort yourselves with absurdities of a failed PF regime! PF has failed in all aspects of human development full stop-You can not justify absurdities of failing your responsibility as a prudent & proactive government, which PF is not! PF goverment is just a bunch of thugs & ailing drunkards! They do not have any viable plan for the unobserved poorest of the poor. Its really a flea circus in PF government! Failures & bunch of political vultures/parasites who depend on tax payers monies & loans! Hope the incoming government will disown these huge sums of corrupt loans as odious debts!

nothign political about mismanagement. Here read this:
“Large budget deficits are also causing the kwacha to weaken. When foreign investors and currency traders perceive that rising levels of government spending are not sustainable and that the government will need to go to the Eurobond market to prop up this spending, they sell kwacha and buy dollars, pushing down the value of the kwacha”

@Grand,I believe we all know what the Subject of the matter is,this is purely Entrepreneurs,we are all encouraged to duel in to business ventures no matter what we do for our living. The point being emphasized is How to start, weather you are in formal employment or what ever u do for living, start something small and watch it grow, some of us we get loans from Banks put up structure, within Two years the structure repay back that loan. That’s what Entrepreneur ship is all about.

How did capital fisheries start, that Man Mr JOE,he is not even a fisherman, but see how many pipo he has employed today. @ Joe and gun glad we could share a same view for once, though it still seems Sam has got an issue of working on your own for a living, it reminds me of that article that followed after Stella satas statement of how someone became a millionaire out of tomatoes,it’s how work is, they say one mans trash is another mans treasure,to Sam being an independent businessman is considered foolish whilst getting a good paying job is a blessing,to him he thinks these big businesses are owned by machines and not mare humans
