BEES yesterday stung mourners at Chongwe’s Chishiko village and left one person dead.
Mourners scampered and abandoned the coffin at the graveyard. The incident happened around 11:00 hours.
Headman Chishiko, who was part of the funeral procession is in shock and is admitted to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital in Lusaka.
Chongwe district medical officer Job Mwanza said the hospital received 10 victims and two are admitted to the hospital.
“The headman is experiencing breathing problems and that is the reason we have referred him to Levy Mwanawasa Hospital because he needs intensive care unit services,” Dr Mwanza said.
He said the rest of the victims were treated and discharged.
Dr Mwanza described the condition of those admitted to the hospital as stable.

With this kind of pressure and these kinds of fear tactics, is it any wonder that Christians do n’t think for themselves?

Most likely the procession to the grave had alot of smelly flowers, thereby attractin the wrath of mother nature in the form of bees.
Bees are a mysterious creature, they create one of the healthiest and sweetest fluids, honey, but again when the bees feel threatened or agrieved a swarm of bees can kill.
Ensure some entomologists check if these bees are living within approximity to people’s paths or dwellings and have them removed before another group is stung.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace and get well to the once who were stung!
African bees can not be imported in North America because they’re very aggressive and kill American and European bees in North America. Many times kill people. When African bees were introduced in America they were killing the other bees. Hence all African bees where eliminated from North America. Be aware that bees can kill people and have been killing people and animals before.
