MMD Congratulates PF For Winning Three Parliamentary Seats In Tuesday’s By-Elections

MMD president Nevers Mumba at Kenneth Kaunda Internatiobnal Airport on arrival from South Africa yesterday - Piture by Salim DawoodThe opposition MMD has congratulated the ruling Patriotic Front for winning the three parliamentary seats in Tuesday’s by-elections.

MMD President Nevers Mumba says his party is convinced that the PF’s victory is a representation of the will of electorates which should be respected.

And Dr. Mumba has hailed opposition political parties for taking part in the by elections at both parliamentary and local government levels.

This is according to the statement issued to ZNBC news in Lusaka by Dr. Mumba.

The PF  won the Chawama, Masaiti and Senga Hill parliamentary by-elections held on Tuesday.

And PF Director Media, Brian Hapunda says the victory in the just-ended three parliamentary by- elections is an outright endorsement of President Edgar Lungu leadership beyond the 2016 tripartite elections.

In a walk in interview, MR. HAPUNDA says the victory has shown that the ruling party is growing.

He said online and some print media houses that unduly criticize President Lungu are making him popular.

Mr. Hapunda says the negative publicity has had no impact on the outcome of the elections adding that Zambians are now interested in politics of development.

Do we need Democracy or not. Why do we insult and tease loosers. May be we go back to One Party rule so that there will be no losers. What do you think. Let me congratulate all parties that took part in the Elections. They are making Democracy tick in our country.

@Hello Haters, you appear to be undergoing your initial stages of lunacy. May you start-off for Chainama Hills Hospital for correctional measures.

KIki the PF should be thanking you via RB for giving them those two seats you sell outs. Poverty really can make some people lose their integrity and self respect. PF is the new MMD. The thieves are regrouping.
