A THIRTEEN-YEAR-OLD pupil of Kaole Primary School in Mansa has died after hanging herself from a mango tree with a necktie.
The girl of Motoka Village in Chief Chimese’s area in Mansa committed suicide after she was reprimanded by her parents for her ‘undesirable’ association with boys.
She was reprimanded by her father on Saturday afternoon and she disappeared for the rest of the day.
On Sunday, the girl’s body was found hanging from a mango tree in a nearby area by her sister.
Luapula Province deputy police chief Webby Shula confirmed the incident in an interview yesterday.
“We have a case of suicide involving a female juvenile aged 13 of Motoka Village, Chief Chimese in Mansa whose body was found yesterday with a protruding tongue after she hanged herself from a mango tree with a neck tie,” he said
The body was then taken to Mansa General Hospital and police and the family members suspect no foul play.
Meanwhile a 48-year-old man of Kawambwa Tea Estate compound collapsed and died as he was travelling from Mukambo to Kawambwa.
John Kalombo died after the bus stopped at the immigration check point.
He was rushed to Chembe clinic but died before he could be attended to.
Mr Shula said the body was identified by relatives and had been taken to Mufulira for burial

“We are all on this earth as passengers towards this destination of death. When and how it comes is matter of God’s timing and only he holds our fate. We must, therefore, take comfort that he alone is the ultimate comforter,” President Lungu said.

Even the Kachasu Sangoma Man should commit suicide if he has failed to run the country. He should resign on moral grounds for having failed to run the country.

Surely this is a very sad reminder to HH, Dr Banda, ZWD, Nalumango, Masebo, and UPND supporters, Fred Membe and haters of ECL, that matters of health and death are for God Almighty to decide and not for Political Jokes and Mockery. Our fellow human being Alice Banda MHSRIEP

Even HH does not agree with your kind of thinking. As a matter of fact he regrets having such kind claiming to be his supporters. Not even Muliokela will canvass for your support. You are an alien from outer space.

Busy looking and mocking others pipos health forgetting about oneself and family members health, now look at your foolishness doctor. After burial you should start separating politics from health and death. Now you will know how it feels to lose a beloved one. MHSRIP

MHSRIP. Very sad that a young person has lost their lives. However, we encourage parents to be open with their children. it is not a lie that africans tend to shy away from discusssing sexual matters and relatuonships. Let us support our kids and let them learn from their mistakes. We can still cleverly have control over them but let us not make them feel so bad as to take their own lives. Regarding the fainting man, I mean with the high levels of poverty and the economy that has dwindled, people are so depressed and frustrated that they cannot take it anymore and are collapsing left right centre. Vote UPND bane things are bad!

Its very unfortunate that young people tend to find suicide as an answer to the problems. Uyu NEZ kapuli kakwe is right about being open to our kids regarding everything. UPND will never rule iwe NEZ kapoli. That is the truth. How does it feel to lose an election NEZ?

not as bad as winning an election by slim chance and then failing the people by failing to manage the economy. In other words disappointing people. I think that is more painful. what do you think?

kiki indeed many people are in denial. It is the same thing that was happening as 2011 was coming to a close. the mmd refused to see the writing on the wall. One RB cried. Many are yet to cry in 2016.
