I Have Nothing To Fear In Delivering Constitution –Lungu

Republican President Edgar Lungu says he has nothing to hide or fear in delivering the new constitution to the Zambian people in the shortest and most practical time possible.
And President Lungu has reassured the nation that government will not tolerate unwarranted attacks on the judiciary that seek to undermine the desired legitimacy this important arm of government must enjoy.
President Lungu says government is committed to continue to move forward with the constitutional review process as outlined in the roadmap government released.
Speaking during the Gala Dinner in Livingstone last evening organized by the Law Association of Zambia (LAZ), President Lungu says his personal record on this matter is a subject of public knowledge.
President Lungu says within weeks in his job as Justice Minister, he released the draft constitution from the shelves where others kept it.
He says he has worked rapidly with the Minister of Justice Dr. Ngosa Simbyakula and his colleagues in relevant government departments to provide a foundation upon which a durable constitution will be delivered.
The Head of State insists that the cost of delivering the document must be measured against the pressing need to address the inexcusable poverty and squalor in some parts of the country.
President Lungu says whatever the country does; the people should act responsibly and ensure that they do not recommend methods that are not conscious of this reality.
And President Lungu notes that the judiciary has suffered attacks at the hands of some members of the public vis-à-vis its independence and its ability to deliver on its primary mandate as an arbiter, and as a defender and protector of individual rights and freedoms.
He says it is the hope of his government that the changes they have started to institute within the judiciary and the recommendations that will come out of the ongoing legal and judicial reforms will galvanize positive action and change in relation to the functioning of the judiciary.

Kiki lungu I think do yourself a favour and refrain from issuing statements to the public. Because the more you talk the more foolish you look. Who are you to talk about the attack ont the judiciary? if you really did have confidence and believed in the judiciary you would not instruct the police to personally sort out HH as we saw when you just assumed power. Also, we would not see you instituting silly tribunals when the same cases are tabled in the courts of law. It seems lungu really is clueless. Vote UPND. You will never get the constitution with these lame folks. Since 2011 they are dodging it

You will keep crying for the same thing. And as the wise people say, “doing the same thing expecting different outcome is tantamount to stupidity. So we humbly ask you guys to do the right thing and vote the UPND in 2016. We will ensure the constitution is given priority once elected. We do understand that good governance is key to achieving economic success. Good governance demands an acceptable and viable constitution. this is just common sense.

Show us the legal documents proving that we stole whatever money you are talking about. You seem deluded. Yours has become to just throw silly dreamed up allegations like a retarded bigot who has lost any means to sustain his political beliefs. Stay strong mune. In 2016 we will give you your much needed holiday and break.

kiki you are a very dull boy. No matter how big a case is, even that of treason, the accused need to be given a fair chance to be heard. That is how things work in a constitutional demcocracy. It is because of ignorant pillocks like you that governments such as the PF start taking advantage of everyone and breaking laws willy nilly. Please familiarise yourself with the law of zambia and stop showing off that ignorance and dullness.
