Wylbur Simuusa says he is not a small boy but an elderly man who is able to see what is going on in the PF and has warned Chishimba Kambwili and those that are trying to hound him out of the party that once they are done with him, it will be their turn.
Chishimba Kambwili has accused Simuusa of having presidential ambitions and warned PF members to stay away from such intentions because the ruling party had already resolved to field President Edgar Lungu, unchallenged for the 2016 general election. “Edgar Lungu should not be challenged by anybody as he has not finished his two years. He is our sole contender for the 2016 presidential election.
There is no vacancy, so anyone with intentions should wait for 2021,” Kambwili told ZNBC TV and Hot FM Radio news. But Simuusa said although he could clearly see that some senior PF members were trying to hound him out of the party, he had no recollection of declaring interest in the 2016 presidential race.
“Kambwili was wrong to go on television and so on to start warning me or threatening me, we are colleagues and this is the suspicion am talking about. And today it maybe me but tomorrow it could be him. For such a statement it would have been better for him to reflect or call on me, anyway I do not know his source of information and whatever their agenda is,” Simuusa, the former agriculture minister said in an interview. “I cannot deny that there are agendas to try and remove me.
They seem to be orchestrated moves, people putting words in my mouth even at the constituency I have been receiving machinations, people creating stories.” Simuusa observed that the PF had changed its face and that the strong base created by president Sata was being cracked. “The PF has changed face it seems to accommodate new members now, and funny, in a bid to do this we are being sidelined. I cannot rule out that maybe am being hounded to accommodate these new people or these new people who want to take over, I cannot rule that out,” he said. “But just as they are sounding warnings to me, let me also sound a warning, the way I am being treated and I know a few other colleagues, the way we are being treated in the party at the constituency for example, in my constituency candidates are being sponsored to destabilise me to hijack me and these sponsorships are coming from very high up in the party.
It is very unfortunate, let me also issue a warning ‘chiwamila galu kuluma mbuzi’. They need to stop I am not a young boy, am old enough to see what is going on, I’m being accused of a lot of things. These are politics but I call on my colleagues to be civil about them.” Simuusa called on Kambwili and other senior PF members to be civil when handling matters concerning older members of the party.
“I am calling on my colleagues to stop the unnecessary hounding out because we are going to break this party that our late president built on a firm foundation. What should be happening is trying to work closely to build the party and solidify that base which was created by the early members and president Sata,” he said.
Simuusa is a joke. Scott used him as a useful idiot and when the instruments shifted, all Scott’s chola-boys needed to fend for themselves.
It could be true that kambwili and others would be expeled from the party but what is wrong is for you simusa to start talking about being a presidential candidate under PF when lungu is there and doing very fine.Think of what the country and PF went through after sata’s death can we surely start that fight again? your fight for presidency is not in good faith simusa

The sarcaim of NEZ has failed to appeal to my senses. Whoever passes an adverse gibe at him is meet with the worst form of sarcasm. The claim of being the official UPND blogger has also contributed to my apprehension of supporting him.

Coming to the subject matter, Wilbur Simuusa must know better than talking about his aspirations to be president when the current president is just in his first term. This could imply showing disloyalty to his party and the current presidency.
In politics timing and positioning has to be well synchronised with the aspirations of the party you belong to if you have to use the party as a means to your aspirations.
