Michael Kaingu Says It’s Difficult To Control Children Once They Leave Home
Education minister Michael Kaingu says it is difficult to control children once they leave home. Commenting on latest pictures that have gone viral on social media showing his daughter, Iris, grooving in a UK nightclub, where she attracted the attention of patrons, Kaingu said the former ZCAS student was now an adult who could make her own choices.
“You know children…even you when you met your husband, were your parents there? So children, you can only control them when they are still in your home. In any case, Iris is now an adult. If she is going to make her life on whatever she wants, I am sure she knows what she’s doing,” he said. Kaingu said as far as he was concerned, Iris was in the United Kingdom for studies.
Recently, Iris caused social media controversy after she posted photos of herself in bikinis at a beach in Dubai. The pictures of Iris in a UK nightclub have once stirred up debate on social media.
In 2012, Iris was condemned when, together with an unidentified college boyfriend, produced a sex video which was leaked, leading to her expulsion from the Zambia Centre for Accountancy Studies (ZCAS).
The 24-year-old was convicted by magistrate Prince Mwiinga and fined K10,000 for the obscene video, a judgment which some critics said was not punitive enough.

What you see in Iris is typically the behaviour of most Zambian students studying funny courses. Remember Iris was in malaysia not long ago. The last we heard of her was Dubai. Its money. I think the big man has given up from the way he was responding.
