8 Kalomo Accident Victims Buried

gfhfgBurial for the 8 members of one family, who died in a road accident last weekend in Kalomo, Southern Province has taken place at Lusaka’s Mutumbi cemetery.
Earlier, scores of Lusaka residents attended a church service for the family, at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross, before burial which took place yesterday afternoon.
And President Edgar Lungu has expressed sadness at what he has called the untimely death of the 8 members of one family.
The President says it is difficult to comprehend that 8 members of one family can die in a single accident.
President Lungu has since advised the bereaved family to remain united and look to God for comfort.
The President has said this in a speech read on his behalf by Chilanga Member of Parliament, Keith Mukata, who is also Deputy Minister of Justice, at the church service.
And Gospel Outreach Fellowship Reverend, Helmat Reuter appealed to the people present at the funeral to reflect on their own lives.
Chief Mapanza was among those in attendance at the burial, because all the accidents victims were his subjects.

Very sad indeed. 7 died on spot, whilst the other one hours later at hospital. When travelling us a family, its best to jump on separate modes of transport.

I agree with the first commentor. This security precaution is also used by governments and big corporations. The president and deputy/vice are never on the same vehicle or plane.
May the souls of the departed rest in peace!

Yeah thats how Tumfweko has reduced you to now, I warned you young man, havent you noticed how irrelevant you have now turned into? Respect people they will also respect you. No one bothers even to notice your presence in Tumfweko, the only thing you got to be doing is holding on to my cloak as I walk by. Thats some lesson, you irritated far too many people me too. Ciao, oh! do you need a piece my bread?

kiki foolish boy. We are here to promote the UPND and not to make friends. if you are a social misfit who looks for friendships online then i will be your friend if that makes you feel better. We are here strict for business to sell the manifesto of our party and that is what we will continue doing. You seem to suffer from attention deficit syndrome. Ukose mune. vote upnd even though u are pf. we know deep down you the UPND is the right party

Even royalty, for example, Prince Willian & Prince Harry are to use separate vessels of transport when going to & fro one place. Some of our traditions have got wisdom in it.

But how do you deal with cases of a last bus leaving while you are 6 members of the same family travelling? I think there things you just have to leave in God’s hand and as a family you pray for traveling mercies and protection, otherwise being too paranoid with accidents is also inviting it.
