Your Duty Is Owned To The People, Patrick Mungo Reminds MPs

Patrick Mungo
Members of Parliament (MPs) have been reminded to use the time during which Parliament is on recess to be more proactive in dealing with issues affecting people in their respective constituencies.
The Parliamentarians have been reminded that while Parliament is on recess, they remain the bridge between the people and the government and therefore should not allow a situation where people from their constituencies begin to feel neglected by the government.
Aspiring Munali Member of Parliament Patrick Mungo is concerned by the continued complaints by people from some constituencies who have not been visited by their elected representatives for them to understand the challenges they are facing.
Mr. Mungo says lawmakers owe their positions in Parliament to the electorates that voted for them, and that they have an obligation to make regular visits to their constituencies especially when they are not attending Parliament.
Your duty is owed to the people- Mungo reminds M`Ps

This message should be directed to the PF members of parliament who have gotten so comfortable in their positions. However, this was reflected by HH gaining votes in the PF strongholds in the last presidential elections. It clearly shows that the people know how useless some of their MPs are. We in the UPND have a strict code of conduce for our MPs and once we form government we will ensure that all MPS follow our laid down codes . Failure to which we have other younger vibrant people who will be waiting to replace all those dozy sleepy MPS. Zambia needs vibrant and proactive MPS and the UPND promises to give you just that

Why should the party impose mps on people. I thought people elect who they want to represent them. What a party. No wonder you are under five.

where did it say that mp will be imposed. we are saying that when times for relection come, we will look at how the mps performed by looking at the mood on the ground in deciding who to field. do you see how foolish you look now

No wonder you keep losing elections because you think you can choose for the people. An mp is iidentified by his people sponsored by his party and elected by his people and that’s how he/ she becomes their representative. You will never learn the secret to winning an election because all the time you are busy trying to outsmart people who have made it in life.

do you know that every party nominates people who want to stand and these people are then selected by the party membership? How foolish can you be to think that people decide in the process from beginning to end? DO the zambian people decide whether lungu stands or it is the pf party structures that guage the mood on the ground to detertmine whether he is a good fit? you dull boy

With their oversight leader and so are the cadres,@ we have young MPs to replace those who Can’t perform, kikikikikikilol!luck of experience, indeed U5 like my colleagues put, this is how Pomposity spreads, what assurance do you have from the people to replace them with your failed mps, if your MP is not performing, ownacy is owed to the electorates themselves, to choose an MP of their choice neutrally, can Either be ruling or opposition, that’s why u c these bye elections as a fair ground. when your shallow Brains run out Of ideas ,it pays to keep quiet sometimes, let people with positive contributions taKe the floor!Idiot!

another dull pf cadre who has decided to read things according to how they conveniently fit in with his foolish points. It can be quite sad and worrying to see the levels of thinking in the PF. even when they can see a starving child, the pf will tell you that the big stomach is because he is eating very well. this is the level of thinking in that foolish party. 2016 wina azalila kiki stay strong

WHAT RELEVANCE DO MP’s HAVE IN ZAMBIA?
THEY REPRESENT PEOPLE THROUGH TALKING ONLY.
THEY CAN NOT INFLUENCE FUNDS DISBURSEMENT.
THEY DO NOT GENERATE REVENUE.
WELL MAY BE I UNDERSTAND LESS OF OUR POLITICAL SET UP IN ZAMBIA, BUT I DO NOT EXPECT ANY THING TO COME OUT OF AN MP!

@Aparatchick,the raw of an MP is to representate a certain community in parliament, were the elected mps table all our problems and Addressed to the speaker eventually once enacted then implemented. But un fortunately some MPs go to parliament just eat and sleep,eg Gerry Chanda is one who needs to be shown the Exit,he is going to cost PF Votes come 2016,the rest are doing their level best selling the party with Wisdom.

At the expense of hard working civil servants who rightfully should take up such positions not cadres. No wonder they are so demotevated no progression, on a nicompoop would recommend such an appointment from the president, it’s about cadre appeasement.

New Educated Zambia why wasting your time on vampiro and his dull friend? These two are unteacheable. The only remedy for the two is to make holes in their skull, extract the fluid and insert maybe a baboon ‘s brain instead of that green fluid in their heads.
