Great East Region May Relocate To Lusaka

FOREIGN Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba says Zambia has been proposed by the Great Lakes Region to host its secretariat after the failed coup against Burundian president Pierre Nkurunziza’s government by military officers.
In an interview in Angola’s capital Luanda, Mr. Kalaba said Burundi had so much turbalance that it was reasonable for the Great Lakes Region to relocate its secretariat and allow peace prevail in that country.
“There is turbulance taking place in Burundi and there are proposals made to have the secretariat for the Great Lakes Region move to Zambia on a tamporal basis as the situation is yet to settle in Burundi’s capital Bujumbura,” said Mr. Kalaba.
He said the Great Lakes Region preferred Zambia to any other country and would await for the decision from the Heads of State conference which starts today in Luanda.
Mr. Kalaba said that Zambia was already housing the Centre for Good Governance and Democracy and that it was only prudent to move the GLR secretariat to Lusaka. “This preference for Zambia shall wait the Heads of States decision.
‘‘Ours as ministers is just a proposal looking at what is happening in Bunjumbura. And we have a situation where our staff have been detained and are yet to be released.” Mr Kalaba said.
He said the Heads of States would be meeting the President of Burundi in the next few weeks to resolve the matter and concerns raised by stakeholders in that country.
Mr. Kalaba also refused to state when those detained would be released, saying that the Great Lakes Region president’s were committed and concerned over the unfolding events in Burundi.

Is it true that Vatican: Priests Have Been Raping Nuns to Avoid prostitutes with HIV.
It has been revealed that priests from at least 23 countries have been sexually abusing nuns.
Most of the abuse occurred in Africa, where priests vowed to celibacy, who previously sought out prostitutes, have preyed on nuns to avoid contracting the Aids virus and that, Catholic clergy have been exploiting their financial and spiritual authority to gain sexual favours from nuns, particularly those from the Third World who are more likely to be culturally conditioned to be subservient to men.
The reports said that such priests had demanded sex in exchange for favours, such as certification to work in a given diocese.
In extreme instances, the priests had made nuns pregnant and then encouraged abortion

Zambia, a country whose current human rights records leaves much to be desired. This is an ironic gesture or clearly a gesture that shows that africa has poor governance in place. Zambia who is failing to manage its small economy now wants to take on added burdens when it has failed to deal with internal issues. Lack of priorities. The pf will go down as the most useless party in history. Let us vote upnd in 2016
