Inspector General of Police Stella Libongani has dismissed assertions that Police are unfair in the manner they apply the public order Act.
Ms. Libogani has told QFM News that no one should complain of unfair treatment with regards the enforcement of the public order Act because the law clearly stipulates that everyone needs protection and security when in public places.
Ms. Libongani explains that the public order Act is meant to provide security for every individual.
She says Police will continue ensuring that all citizens follow the law without being pushed.
The Police Inspector General has since urged all citizens to observe public order and notify the Police whenever they have public functions.

POA is fine only your boy cops and girl cops should be taught a lot on understanding Penal codes especially on police call outs. When they send one it reads:You are required to report for enquiries, But bamambala bakuuza ku vula nsapato before they even look at your face.

The zambian police is so out of touch with reality that it is becoming a joke. It is clear to see that the police are not independent and the president is pulling their strings. How can you surely lie to the public ba police? It is open for all to see. Miles sampa and that lungus wife were both doing the same thing HH was doing. Walkign freely in a market as a zambian citizen and leader. Interacting with the public. One was summoned to police while the other wasnt. Do you see now when you use draconian laws created by colonialists? You end up looking foolish like you are now. This stella woman lacks any integrity and come 2016 she will be shown the door.

Madam IG you’re correct, no one is above the law. Some might say the POA is outdated, but alas this the law in place as of now unless and until we change it. So any one daring you madam, deal with him/her squarely.

Ba IG your police force is the most unprofessional force i know we reported a break in at a school in Kanyama the police came looked around and left. The scene was just looked at no finger prints taken the two security guards who where tied by the thieves where only invited for interviews after five days. Now the police are asking for money for logistics for them to investigate. Is it the way it should be do i need to pay police to investigate a crime. Ba IG that’s your police in Kanyama.

this is the situation on the ground. Our president HH has been meeting with people in different areas and this is one of the issues he has mentioned as been a problem; the lack of security and confidence in the police. We are asking you people to make the right decision in 2016 and vote for the UPND. We thank you

Mama IG can’t say anything that might set her against. her boss and am sure she was also thinking about her bread and butter when dismissing those claims, but in reality she knows the police force has been turned into a pf branch for intimidating political opponents.
