Zambia Railways Boss Atanga Quits

Zambia Railways Limited Managing Director Muyenga Atanga has handed in a 90 day notice of resignation.

Zambia Railways Corporate Affairs Manager Benson Ngula has told QFM News that the notice of resignation professor has given is in accordance with article 21 of his contract.

Mr Ngula says this emanates from his choice to terminate his contract of employment with the railway firm.

He explains that according to his contract, either party can give a 90 day notice before the termination of the contract.

Mr Ngula has since referred further queries on the matter to the Minister of Works,Supply,Communication and Transport

    I knew that one day Atanga will leave employement. This is common knowlege. Wife was secretary for PF and she was not supporting Lungu Kabwalala. Chirwa and Lungu are both from eastern. When I look at appointments of Lungu majority are from eastern. I voted for PF but Iam very disappointed. My next vote will go to HH.

      Then you’ll be disappointed & your next choice will be Gen Miyanda, then it’ll be Nawakwi. After that it will be mulyokela, 4R, etc. In the meanwhile, Lungu will have completed 2 terms & other leaders will have emerged to beat hakainde.

      Ba Mwape if that is your correct name.Analise all appointments Edgar has so far made including his Cabinet.Count how many Easterners are there.Check all PSs and find who many are Easterners?It is only last week that people from the East were complaining of not being appointed.Read papers and listen to current affairs ba kamba!!!

    The other one who shud be forced out is MD Indeni who is extremely corrupt with his humble education. The man has been involved in so many scams. Apart from shielding thieving employees, right now he is appearing before ACC for having facilitated payment of full benefits to someone in procurement without reaching the required length of service. He is also keeping the ‘legal counsel’-a Rwandan (among the most highly paid managers) who can’t even represent the Company in court as she does not have a practicing certificate purely due to the dealings they had together. He also facilitates renewal of contracts for known ill qualified friends and gives them 1 year contracts who have reached retirement age in total disregard of procedure-(Some of them have worked for over 10 years beyond retirement). He is on record of shifting furniture withdrawn from offices to his farm house without paying for it. As employees, we know that there are a lot of dealings involving him and the Procurement Manager which have been investigated and end up nowhere. Maybe is it because of the uncontolled favours he does for the politicians that have kept him this far???
