Twin Palm Mall Robbery: Two Nabbed

POLICE in Lusaka have arrested two people in connection with the Twin Palm Shopping Mall heist in which two bandits were shot dead and K337,000 belonging to Shoprite was stolen.
In a high-strung gun battle characteristic of a Hollywood movie, a lone police officer on Monday shot dead two bandits in the robbery at the shopping mall in Lusaka.
Two other bandits, however, got away with K337,000 snatched from a cash-in-transit security vehicle after a heavy exchange of gun fire. The money was being transported from Shoprite supermarket.
The fire fight left the policeman and two shop attendants of Subway, Lwandi Kaluba and Nicholas Katingwe, with gunshot wounds.
Lusaka Province commissioner of police Charity Katanga said in an interview yesterday that bandit who was shot dead has been identified as Willy Palawama, 35, of Chaisa township

These are UPND cadres working against the government & when they are shot back they play the victim saying they are shooting innocent citizens/students trying to buy Pizza @ Twin Palm Mall like the way ZWD reported yesterday…Yikes!!!

But this is foolishness; How do you put one police officer to gurad a sensitive site, and you allow 100 police officer to guard the lazy wishy drunkard.

      Please lets be rational.

There is a bunch of uncivilised characters who pass silly comments based on politicak affiliation instead of commenting on the topic at hand. Insults can not make some get some sense from the one insulting. Be objective en reasonable whenever u want to post yo concerns.

This is totally bad,i think in sensitive places like this we need to have more police officers than piling them on roadblocks
