KALU Denies FAZ Interference In National Team Players Selections

Kalusha-BwalyaBy Musonda Chibulu

FAZ president Kalusha Bwalya has denied interference in national team selection in a heated exchange on twitter.

Two twitter users Mumbi Chileshe and Emmanuel Zulu accused Kalusha of instructing coaches to pick and play certain players.

Kafue Celtics on loan at Nchanga Rangers striker Patson Daka was cited.

The Under-17 captain has turned out for the Under-17, 20, 23 and Chipolopolo in a space of six months.

Zulu alleged that he had a verbatim of Kalusha issuing instructions to the technical bench at Sherbourne (supposedly for last Saturday’s tame 0-0 draw against Guinea)

However, Kalusha insisted that coaches make independent decisions and FAZ has never interfered in player selection.

The 1988 Africa’s finest expressed shock that every time Zambia lost or drew he was accused of something.

He argued that in his playing days chairmen of clubs or FAZ were not known to be blamed for team failure.

Kalusha assured that FAZ was only interested in recording good results and not matters of player selection.

Kalu should just shut the phuckup! This chap is as corrupt as the whole bunch of FIFA/CAF/FAZ chaps. If Zambian football needs changing why cant we also change its management? These days even teams we never counted are beating us or drawing.

This is true.National Team Coaches are not free to select players of their own choice.Look at Emmanuel Mbola. He has costed games for Zambia. We have good defenders. Why always use this chap…He is being out run all the time. Why should the National Team being picked from Copperbelt and Midlands only? The whole Zambia we just depend on Copperbelt and Midlands. We have good players who are capable of turning the tables for Zambia.Good example is late Nigerian striker RASHID YAKENI.He had no dribbling skills but he was a good reader of the game hence he was scoring goals for Nigeria.I had a chance to watch System Chilongo from his heydays with Buseko UTD from Luanshya then he joined Red Arrows with the likes of Martin Besa,Paul Chimfwembe etc he has no dribbling skill but he was a good reader of the game as well.Everytime he plays it use to take just 5 minutes for him to score because he had pace as well. Are we short of such players to day?I just wander all the time.STOP CORRUPTION IN FOOTBALL…

This Kalusha Bwalya chap is corrupt to the borne just like his former boss at FIFA Sepp Blatter and Issa Hayatou at CAF. He requires to be forced out of office just like what happened to the FIFA boss. He has no intergrity and morals left in him otherwise he would have read the mood of the people and stepped down on his own nomba pantu fye emo balila so kufwa na no mukanwa. Shame.

Pipo hate Kalu as if he plays in the team. When Mweene fails to score u blame Kalu. Common guys this hate is too too much. There is no player in Zambia who is performing at club level who has been left from the national team. Players in Zambia as at now arent performing and we cant have a performing national team!!!!

Evidence !! which performing player, both locally and internationally is left out of the National Team. Look at Club football, so pathetic to watch. No local club has performed well at Continental level, CAF Champions league for example. Ba ZESCO, Nkhana name them, babwelako kuseni-seni. So ati ni Kalu alenga.

Bola died with privatization coupled with the shooting down of that plane, no sponsorship, infrastructural development, etc. Is kalu responsible for all this.

Lets solve the problem instead of pointing accusing fingers at each other.

Instead of ukusika amaafu, forging ducmas, feeding lions a cow per day, etc, we can sponsor this dying soccer in our Country. Ba GBM, Lyato, Kavindele, HH, Harrington, Mahtan, ati bwanji uko ?

Does Kalu interfere with club football for all our clubs to flop in CAF champions league as well Which local club has succeeded at continental competitions of late ? Zero.
Soccer at club level leaves much to be desired. Look at the quality of the stadia (Stadiums), is Kalu to blame, too.

The Country cannot, and shall never have a performing National team if the Local League is under-performing, period. Lets find a solution to the problem instead of pointing fingers at each other.

Its true kalu, even when players are in camp, you are present. What is your role? Secondly i think you have a hand in the appointing of the foreign coach who is about to come because the process of appointing was not followed. The best way was to allow as many as possible to apply and then select on merit, how do you hand pick your friend. This is very shameful.

I thought the job of a technical team was to assess the performance of the team as the game is being played..why should kalu be blamed for all the failures and not the coach or the players themselves..the manager of any team is the coach..that’s why he is fired first if he is not performing well..I remember christopher katongo saying ,”we are a young team that can perform better in years to come if we stick together”..this was after we won the Africa cup..where are those players we had? Lwandamina said he will use experience in players but less than half of the players featured in the game against guinea had the experience of international football..we were using kalaba a lot more than was required..my conclusion is let us give credit where its due and stop blaming FAZ when we clearly know that the coach was wrong..

Can Kennedy Mweene continue to be first choice GK given his consistent mistakes? Besides he has been relegated to the bench at his pretoria Club in S.A
