State House To Issue Statement On President Lungu’s Medical Review In South Africa
UNCERTAINTIES surrounds President Edgar Lungu’s scheduled medical review and the lack of timely updates from his office have fueled speculations.
President Lungu was supposed to undergo medical review after attending the AU summit in South Africa which ended on Monday last week.
This was supposed to be President Lungu’s first review after he collapsed in March this year.
And State House is soon expected to issue a statement on President Edgar Lungu’s medical review in South Africa.
Meanwhile, the official launch of the Digital Migration Switch over which was slated for tomorrow at the Mass Media Complex has been postponed, because President Lungu will be unavailable.
Last week, President Lungu started his medical review in South Africa after attending the 25th Africa Union (AU) summit, which closed on Monday.
Special assistant to the President for press and public relations Amos Chanda,however, could not disclose the hospital where President Lungu is having his medical review because the arrangement is under the courtesy of the South African government and it does not want to draw public attention.

We have been through this route too many times as a country and we seem to be going round in circles. Why do we knowingly elect patients as presidents starting from their own political parties to national elections. Like SATA, lungu’s productivity performance is certainly less than 50% because the man is unwell. This in itself is cost to country. A country of sickly presidents.
