Munkombwe Claims Lungu Instructed Chama To Insult Tongas ‘Zambia Wouldnt Have Gained Independence Without Tongas’

The arrogance exhibited by Chama can only be explained in one view that this evil man is not working alone.
Munkombwe wondered why Edgar has remained silent over such divisive comments. “Silence means concert, how do they expect even to get support from places like here when senior leaders each day insult people from southern province” he asked.
Go and tell him, it was people from southern province that contributed over 4000 cows to buy air tickets and other logistics to send a delegation to meet the queen in Britain for Zambia to gain independence, we never told kapwepwe to bear more children for zambia to have independence.
Tell Chama and those evil men behind him that southerners have always been peaceful people and he must not sow seeds of division in our people.
The Zambian people should not allow lungu and Chama divide the nation.
In another development, a number of youths from different districts have applied for permission to carry out peaceful demonstration against Chama.

Ya, you are right! That’s the picture of the campaign rally at which Munkombwe “fluffed”. He is even holding hands with HH smiling, and yet HH/UPND didn’t seem bothered by the remark. This is the kind of double standards that baffles many of us. The current brouhaha about Chama’s tribal remarks sounds a bit opportunistic and hollow coming from UPND and the likes of VJ. The same people who remained mute when similar “sins” were committed by one of their own. If we want people to believe how genuinely concerned we are about issues of TRIBALISM, REGIONALISM and DISUNITY, let us learn to confront this beast every time it pops up its ugly head—because TRIBALISM IS WRONG AND SHOULD BE CONDEMNED NO MATTER WHO THE PERPETRATOR IS!

C”mon now! Those remarks were made as a CLARION CALL for Tongas in Southern Provence and beyond to ignore everything else but SEE TRIBE ONLY when they got into the voting booth. Mukonkombwe didn’t even pretend to be appealing to UPND MEMBERS—unless of course in his mind “TONGA is UPND and UPND is TONGA.” And I would argue Munkombwe is, unfortunately, NOT alone in this way thinking!

I think certain people, especially our SENIOR CITIZENS, should be the last individuals to stoke flames of disunity and tribalism. If Chama said what he is being accused of, he indeed needs to apologize and make amends. But the likes of senior citizen Munkombwe shouldn’t take advantage of such unfortunate events to try and cleanse their own sins on tribalism. Munkombwe LOST ALL CREDIBILITY after he himself made tribally charged remarks during the campaigns of which, up to this day, HH has NOT distanced himself from or repudiated—and those remarks were made standing right next HH. But Lungu was in RAS when Chama made the purported remarks. So give Lungu time to gather facts at home first!

It implies nationalism and not tribal inclinations as you have convinced yourself that Tongaz are tribal. It means all Zambian Regions contributed/sacrificed for Independence of Zambia and not just those you consider to be superior, hence nothing wrong for them now to vie for presidency.By the way, without Nkummbula’s ANC agreeing to have his votes added together with UNIP’s, Zambia would not have taken independence in 1964. So please value other Zambians as much as you value you ethnic group.

Yes, any Zambian can become president of Zambia not by tribe but on merit. Those who have failed to make it to State House have been denied the presidency by the electorate (Zambians) and not by any tribal grouping.Each one of us has the right to keep on trying, who knows, maybe “limbi, kuti waipula akapoto” some day.
As for those who are tribalists, whichever province or party they come from, they are dull and that their tribal rantings won’t take them anywhere. If you want to rule by tribe, re-write the Constitution, which will be a foolish and impossible thing to do. Accept who you are and Praise the Lord.

Because, I take it, it was NOT Tongas campaigning for one of their own to be President, but UPND as a political Party, whose Party President only happens to be Tonga, campaigning to have one of their own elected—unless of course what people say about “UPND being Tonga and Tango being UPND” is true!
SO, Yes, What Munkombwe said was very much TRIBAL. We condemned what RB once said campaigning in Easterning province, we condemned what HH once said while campaigning for Shakafuswa in Katuba, and we condemn what Chama said—so let us NOT try to spin what Munkombwe remarks meant just because he is ours, Tonga!

For God’s sake Chama is a leader in a political party, a club for that matter. Y should the Tongas want to have Chama leave his preferred private club to heal the insults? I sense something here. Is it a Tonga verses Choma contest or UPND vs PF want of weaken to gain supremacy? People must be careful. Whilst Tongas feel insulted, and may have right to protest, it is only fair if PF Tongas and other PF members are the ones to call for Chamas resignation. These are the ones that belong to the club which may have been put in an awkward situation. If Chama can be accused in his own private capacity, NOT EVEN PF members can call for his resignation. Otherwise I smell a rat. The next time we shall hear people calling for his expulsion from his family. However, Zambians, remember how many times Bembas have been insulted by some Tonga chaps. Bembas have never chorusly rose to dance pelete like we see, a lot of times, immature reactions, like a flock, to call for a Bemba blood. Please people, let us promote tribal impatiality.

am Bemba and my wife is Tonga, it was really not easy for us to get married as the father to my wife was against me (Bemba) marrying her daughter, the man called me all sort of names but i was strong enough.
we are a happy family now with two kids.to be honest guys Tongas are very tribal,i have seen it and experienced it myself.my grandmother almost gave up and told me to leave the girl because i was welcomed into her family include her brothers and cousins.
