The Patriotic Front (PF) has made it three out of three after scooping the Mulobezi, Malambo and Petauke Central parliamentary seats in yesterday’s by-elections.
Dora Siliya of the ruling PF in Petauke Central has reclaimed her seat with a landslide by polling 12, 830 votes while Allan Zulu of the UPND polled a 2, 331, with Ignasio Phiri of UNIP polling 259 votes.
Ms Siliya was declared winner at around 02:30 hours this morning.
Petauke Central constituency has seven wards and 53 polling stations with a total of 46,635 registered voters.
And Ms Siliya has told QFM News via telephone that she knew she would win the by-election.
Ms Siliya says she is delighted that the people of Petauke Central Constituency will once again have representation in parliament after two years of no representation in Parliament.

In Malambo constituency, PF Candidate Jacob Shuma polled 5, 566 votes to scoop the seat beating his closest rival of the UPND Simon Phiri who got 3, 842 votes, while Independent candidate Florence Mwayopa managed to poll 438 votes with UNIP’s Jairos Mchenga taking fourth place with 181.

The parliamentary by-election in Malambo arose after then MMD MP Maxwell Mwale lost the seat over electoral malpractices committed in the 2011 general elections.
And the the PF cabdidate Patricia Mulasikwanda has scooped the Mulobezi seat in a tightly contested election beating his rival from the UPND Hastings Sililo.

Ms Mulasikwanda was declared winner by at about 08:00hrs.
The Mulobezi parliamentary seat fell vacant after the nullification of Mr Sililo’s election.
politician always hv accuses i hear hh is comforted by the loss in 3 consitutiences as the sign of victory in 2016 with reference to mmd who won by elections prior to 2011 elections but lost the big one anyway is had to accept defeat ask rb.
so you fight so hard to remove the ruling party out of power and later you start adopting those same pipo you loathed!!!this Dora ALITUKILE BA SATA NOMBA BA CHAGWA KATWISHIFYE MWANDINI???
we are unstop-able term dora.my tribe is zambian
Giv us Plots in Livingstone for 2012
You want your plots? Cause a bye election and BOOM! you have dem plots…..African politics and development plans!
I just hope NEZ will tone down now and respect other people’s views.
Your wish though nowadays he has toned down
kiki foolish. how can you celebrate when you have lost considerable voters in these areas. can you please tell me the gains upnd has made since 2011 in these areas aswell as those of pf?
Analysis clearly shows how the graph for the pf is going up so it is a ill wishful thinking of a politician to believe in future than the current numbers.
Inama yabaiche tainona only Sata had a vision to move th country forward, congra Dora u can now help in raping th nation soon ll be minister of transport & comm..
Of all the three by~elections, its dora’s winning which more painful to most of the zambians. i feel like crying
Information reaching my desk indicate that HH is about to join the PF.Aleisa, aleisa.
it looks like ba PF is a bunch of winners unlike UPND is a bunch of losers. HH has wrong advisers and please people accept that PF is popular and come 2016 it will be kolopa.com. i hope NEZ will now accept since PF has now snatched their seat.
dora mu pf,hmmm aweeee
Upnd should have nothing to celebrate because they have lost a seat. Even the marginal improvement on the number of votes is due to the popularity of the candidates the adopted and not the party itself.
upnd u need to change your strategy for you to have relevance in the political arena we need opposition to offer checks and balance. congrats to pf
Elo muntu ati 2016 is ours when u are busy doing nothing in terms of winning more votes
yangu ba upnd ukushalila mu mano! kwati matako ya ngo’mbe sha kwa HH. LET IT BE DAWN ON YOU THAT THE PARTY HAS OUTLIVED ITS OPPOSITION EXISTENCE.
This is just too much and not good for democracy.7-0 from january,I fear for the worst in 2016.Theres a likelyhood that upnd will have no mp in 9 provinces and only 10 from southern.Pf are likely to win 140 seats out of 150 seats.I cant see hh being close to EL in 2016 polls
Hakaivotele iye heka.
When voters are franchised through intimidation, only cadre vote.
Aleisa Kanshi aleya
Ifitala upnd
UPND has performed well in places considered not its strongholds, citing Malambo where the party has increased its votes from 704 votes in 2011 to 2,582 and in Petauke from a paltry 515 votes in 2011 to over 2,331 votes in 2015 barely four years later.
while pf has moved from 204 in 2011 to over 10500 in 2015
Statistics statistics statistics! UPND has no time left It’s no time for 2011 we were 70 in 2016 we are 74. It’s time for urgent introspective look at strategy. Even online preachers and ward chairmen should embrace people and stop insulting would be party sympathisers or potential members. Otherwise it’s like falling in love with a dead horse for people who want change in the stable.
Ihave you checked my blogging time, it was around 10am here. Iam not nez who blogs all the time anyhow
I wonder how politicians work,so ba Edgar was not in line with sata vision to stamp out corrupt individuals.what has Dora got to do with PF mwebantu.

When other countries experience draught we in Zambia we enjoy a massive rain fall. But now just for this partial rain fall you are up in arms to insulting Zesco & the Govt, Why can’t you tell Pilato, Nawakwi and others to go and urinate in the Zambezi river so that we can have abundant water.
