The Patriotic Front (PF) has made it three out of three after scooping the Mulobezi, Malambo and Petauke Central parliamentary seats in yesterday’s by-elections.
Dora Siliya of the ruling PF in Petauke Central has reclaimed her seat with a landslide by polling 12, 830 votes while Allan Zulu of the UPND polled a 2, 331, with Ignasio Phiri of UNIP polling 259 votes.
Ms Siliya was declared winner at around 02:30 hours this morning.
Petauke Central constituency has seven wards and 53 polling stations with a total of 46,635 registered voters.
And Ms Siliya has told QFM News via telephone that she knew she would win the by-election.
Ms Siliya says she is delighted that the people of Petauke Central Constituency will once again have representation in parliament after two years of no representation in Parliament.

Ms Mulasikwanda has polled 3, 337 votes against Mr Sililo’s 3, 313 votes.
UNIP’s Alfred Mandumbwa who has managed a paltry 81 votes, with Green party’s Esau Mwanza polling 61 and Collins Mbangu of Alliance for Democracy and Development (ADD) managing 69 votes.
Ms Mulasikwanda was declared winner by at about 08:00hrs.

Analysis clearly shows how the graph for the pf is going up so it is a ill wishful thinking of a politician to believe in future than the current numbers.

it looks like ba PF is a bunch of winners unlike UPND is a bunch of losers. HH has wrong advisers and please people accept that PF is popular and come 2016 it will be kolopa.com. i hope NEZ will now accept since PF has now snatched their seat.

Upnd should have nothing to celebrate because they have lost a seat. Even the marginal improvement on the number of votes is due to the popularity of the candidates the adopted and not the party itself.

This is just too much and not good for democracy.7-0 from january,I fear for the worst in 2016.Theres a likelyhood that upnd will have no mp in 9 provinces and only 10 from southern.Pf are likely to win 140 seats out of 150 seats.I cant see hh being close to EL in 2016 polls

UPND has performed well in places considered not its strongholds, citing Malambo where the party has increased its votes from 704 votes in 2011 to 2,582 and in Petauke from a paltry 515 votes in 2011 to over 2,331 votes in 2015 barely four years later.

Statistics statistics statistics! UPND has no time left It’s no time for 2011 we were 70 in 2016 we are 74. It’s time for urgent introspective look at strategy. Even online preachers and ward chairmen should embrace people and stop insulting would be party sympathisers or potential members. Otherwise it’s like falling in love with a dead horse for people who want change in the stable.
