Member of the Patriotic Front Central Committee Jean Kapata has suggested that President Edgar Lungu should be given chance to serve two full terms.
Ms Kapata says the current term that President Lungu is serving was not his but for late Republican President Michael Sata and that he is just finishing it through to 2016.
Ms Kapata, who is also Mandemvu PF Member of Parliament, says President Lungu should be given a chance to stand even in 2021 so as to serve two full terms and finished the one left by President Sata.
She says the current debate on President Lungu serving a full term now through to 2020 is unconstitutional and that people should not manipulate the constitution.
The Tourism and Arts Minister adds that the constitution is very clear on such issues and that it would be unfair for some people to start championing for some issues.

Yes, Jean, we shall let him through the ballot. Now, that does not mean that you become complacent. Its memento convince the electorate that we have value in what we have. In the meantime, collect that Eurobond, pay all the contractors, finish the bottom road asap & hush-up this guy uwisafye forever!! Ni mirage!

When will we ever wake up to reality? Everyone benefiting has a stake in siding with wrong doers. My heart bleeds for neglecting income generating policy for wanton crippling financial destruction. Whilst, infrastructure and road networks need upgrade, surely can we slow down on borrowing that seems to be landing into the hands of those that sympathize with govt. Could we have balanced expenditure, one in tandem with local resources. We have never been known to come out of financial malaise in the last 51 yrs other than the HIPIC and no country will forgive us for not learning quickly.

I like nez because he is a fool. Ukose means what to pf who in power? Is it not u ba kachema who need to be strong who are seeking for leadership? I went to northern, muchinga, luapula and eastern.the young ones are getting nrc’s that they were upset by the voting pattern of some whose history doesnt show were they came from. I will tell you’ukose’. That is the correct of using tht word. I kno u would want to speak to many pipo using bemba, but there is no harm in just going the kachema way because u will be part of the healing process for them after voting in the manner they did despite losing.it was so painfull animals never feed the whole day, only to be told head kachema had lost an election.

ECL does not need a legal assistance to stay in State house. He will win his stay in 2016 and beyond. Every sincere political analyst knows this fact. He is going to beat his rivals with a very big margin such that there will be no room for crying foul. If he stays there this time, he there will be a lot of national debates and court injunctions that will stale development. 2016 Edigar will be declared winner. If there is some constitutional error that has been ignored but could be on his favour, it will be corrected after 2016. There was a hand of God in ECL’s election to presidence and so far he is doing very well. zambia is safe with him. he had no ambition for the presidence and as he says, he does not want to stay in State house against Zambian Peoples wish. For now he is the best man in the office. Just my opinion.

Like I said, Power hungry political charlatans who blow HOT and COLD the whole day will canvas countrywide the idea of ‘THIRD TERM’ (remember the FTJ era)just to hold on to power that they are not sure with doing other than PLUNGING the nation into further economic IFIGAMBA. Really are’nt we all ashamed? Yes GOOD this GOOD that but are u siding with results that have no pillars on which growth should hinge? Are u afraid of ‘KACHEMA’ who bloggers are saying the origins are not captured in history. What flimsy grounds indeed – Kachema’s ancestral decent makes him the legitimate son in the house..if that’s the argument but sorry Am above all this charade of tribal intolerance. Debate with a sober view point and not accelerate excessive INTOLERANCE politically. Take time to read progression of Zambia’s recent political history. Non partisan no mischief..fair and square all the way.
