President Lungu has been conferred with the status of the Free Man of the city of Blantyre in Malawi.
President Lungu was bestowed with the status at an event held at City Assembly in Blantyre.Speaking during the conferring of the status, City of Blantyre Mayor Noel Chalamanda described President Lungu as a man of distinction.
Mr. Chalamanda then asked President Lungu to sign the book of distinguished guests before presenting him with the freedom key.
In accepting the status, President Lungu said Malawi and Zambia are not only twins but can be seen to be one country separated by impunity of colonialism.
Present at the event were Foreign Affairs Minister Harry Kalaba, Tourism and Arts Minister Jean Kapata, Eastern Province Minister Malozo Sichone and Zambia’s High Commissioner to Malawi Salome Mwananshiku.
Others are State House Press Aide Amos Chanda and President Lungu’s Political Advisor Kaizer Zulu among others.

Ati twins Kikiki ba president if you have nothing to do in your office ya takeni panshi teyambi iyoo molu. In 6 months you have visited the entire SADC on useless non productive trips. What’s that freedom key? Secondly how can be a president of a country be mingling with mayors? What’s really wrong with our president? The other day it was Chinese project managers! Besides he carried with him 7 other Govt officials to go get a key… KEY!?

…and those 7 are also paid allowances from our tax. Please Tumfweko investigate what financial gain Zambia will get from another poor country. It’s like 2 critical economic patients trying to share the same oxygen tube in ICU!

Ati ‘free man of Blantyre!’ The other day it was time’free man of Kitwe’, Next it shall be ‘free man of Lubumbashi’. Personally, I see not what these freedoms mean or what value they add to the recipient because even I am free when I visit these villages. Which city did we give uKenyata some useless freedom key?

Lungu’s mother is Malawian and in fact he did not even qualify to stand as president. His mother is a sister to Judge Chikopa, also siblings with Mulenga Sata’s mother.
Regarding the kamwendo munjila habit, JJB you are absolutely right it’s too much. PF are actually not behaving like the country is in an economic crisis. Presidential travels by their nature are very expensive. Why can’t ECL for once show leadership and stop travelling abroad or at least minimise?

Edgar since becoming president it’s either he’s giving credentials, or receiving, demoting or promoting, travelling or attending to his ill health that’s it. Believe me in 2 weeks he will be travelling possibly to go and give a speech to primary sch teachers in Angola.
