Devil Street In Emmasdale, Girls As Young As 13Yrs Are Drinking, Young Boys Are Jabbing Drugs!
Dear Sir/Madam
Am a Resident of Emmasdale site and service (DEVIL STREET) who is so ashamed to say so cause of the happening. I was born and grew up there. My times where great and we had so much fun as kids and teens. we had nothing like boom-shake, the Bank, mot-rose nor easy cafe to mention but a few. THANK GOD Club Zone was closed.
These mentioned pubs are pubs where you can find girls from as young as 13yrs drinking and doing all sorts of bad sexual behaviors. Tell me where is our compound going to. if i remember at that age i was glued in playing ichidonu or hide and seek.Bar owners are less concerned cause these young stars give them profits.
walking the street from entry point blessing center to exit point UCZ Church on Thursday evening through Sunday is like visiting a porn site small girls with older men or younger men drinking and disrespecting elders, smoking wed in public i wonder if we even have police patrol in the night cause these things happen even in bored daylight. we have lost of foreigners taking drugs and smoking wed in public. these Nigerian are so free in that part that they smoke chamber in the open. i wonder what is the councilor doing. they had started cleaning up bars/pubs arresting underage but it was like a one day thing.
Devil street as it all legal immigrants sex workers, drugs ichamba but still no one has come to rescue the innocent in that area. You can not take a walk in the evening as a descent young lady fearing you will be mistaken to be one of them.
I hope one of the Government officials will read this and help out through the area member of parliament or councilors. we need more shops unlike bars 99.9 % of devil street is filed with Bars and guest houses which are mainly used for short times.. We need age limits for entry in bars pubs and also we need fewer bars and pubs in the same street its like the whole street is filed with bars and pubs
Some one anyone help clean this street please we are afraid as parents with younger kids thinking what they will be like when they reach the said age roaming the pubs. i know one reader will say discipline but to tell you its hard to discipline a child in such an environment where only drinking and smoking wed is seen to be normal or roaming pubs and having bad sexual activities is said to be fun.
Requesting one of your reporters to visit the said area and see for yourself. pa Friday evening.

What are ‘bad sexual activities’? Or are there good sexual activities that the young may involve themselves in? I suggest the writer also takes time to learn how to write coz his/her post is bordering on linguistic crime.
Seriously, it is sad when a parent of such an area cries to politicians, journalists, etc to teach their children on their behalf and cry to say ‘it is not easy to discipline kids in this environment’. That is utter stupidity on the part of parenting. If you can take stock of your children at any time, how do you hope the pastor, councillor, mp to do that for you? What the writer is saying is that pubs, hotels, bars in that area are too many and unchecked. There is no police patrol to control the situation like underage patronizing bars, no police checks to rid the area of bad vices like dagga smoking, street sexual activities, hooliganism etc.
His concern on kids is that they will grow up thinking that that is the normal way of life.

Whatever is happening along devil street is known by the police. After all the police is just behind the devil street (Matero Police). Our Police service has been rendered useless especially if the culprits have some connections with them.

I appreciate the writer sharing what is happening with children in emmasdale and this must be of great concern to any citizen of good morale standing and our government.These children, future adults are being destroyed due to drugs and sexual immorality.The government needs to enforce the laws to regulate operations of bars,clubs,lodges etc so as ensure that children are are protected from drugs and sexual exploitation.Sad enough such scenarios have become common in many parts of our country.The question is who cares ???
