17 Die In Road Accident On Mumbwa Road
Seventeen people died on the spot while two others are nursing injuries after getting involved in a traffic accident at Mumbwa-Mwembeshi junction this morning.
The accident that happened around 07:50hrs and claimed the lives of 13 males, 3 females and a baby girl, involved a Benz Truck Reg. No. AAH 7373 and Toyota Hiace Minibus Reg. No. ALH 5968.
Police spokesperson Charity Munganga-Chanda has confirmed the tragedy to Qfm News in a statement saying the driver of the minibus is among the dead while the driver of Benz truck has ran away.
Ms. Chanda has explained the accident happened after the driver of a Benz Truck cut in front of the Toyota Hiace minibus which had 19 passengers on board as he was trying to turn.
She notes that the minibus was coming from Mumbwa to Lusaka.
Ms. Chanda says the bodies of the deceased are lying in the UTH mortuary awaiting postmortem while the injured are being treated in the same hospital.
He says a manhunt has since been launched for the driver of the Benz Truck.

Condolences for the deceased. But the truth is that Edgar Sangoma Lungu has sacrificed the blood of Zambians in order to scope the looming by-elections. But he will be met with rude shock.

Lying!!! Always lying. This is a sad moment and no time for cheap politicking. If you talk of by-elections, who has exhibited desperation between PF and the opposition? You know very well that HH has been more desperate and very likely to go this route of sacrificing blood especially when you consider what is being said about him.

Oh God, I drove on this road for four days from 1st to 4th September while I was attending to a series of meetings at the Newly built Mwembeshi Secondary. My body is shaking. MTSOTDRIP.
