SAD: Choma Girl Dies In Snake Attack
HOMBA MUSIKA, Choma
AN EIGHT-YEAR-OLD girl of Duba Farm 3 in Choma has died after being bitten by a snake while her 10-year-old sister is nursing a snake bite at Choma General Hospital.
The snake slithered into the girls’ bedroom on Wednesday around 04:00 hours and attacked them while they were asleep.
Love Mwiinga died about two hours after being bitten while her elder sister, Trenety, survived.
Narrating the incident from Trenety’s bedside on Thursday evening, the family’s neighbour, Alice Ngulo, said the parents of the girls only realised that their daughters had been bitten by the snake after discovering Trenety’s heavily swollen leg.

So sad, Hildah do not politicize such incidences, something has really gone wrong in our land, in the past, it was un-heard of for a child to be bitten by a snake.

We in UPND are heart broken to learn about the death of such a young and promising girl. We have been robbed of a potential future leader. What is even more saddening is the fact that this girl would not even have been saved if she was rushed to hospital because under the PF we have the worst medical facilities since independence. I am sure that is why nobody bothered to rush her to hospital. RIP.

Mj banda that is your opinion but the fact remains that we are two different people. Hildah has the right to express her frustrations with the PF govenrment. Many zambians are as upset as hildah.

@NEZ, you are someone who Hadley chase would describe as a joker in a park.You are forgetting that the other girl survived by the intervention of the hospital medicine and one other thing I presume comprehension used to a problem to you because the author of the story picked up the story from Trenety’s bedside in the hospital. A joker in a park indeed.

Firstly, Hilda Malama is not a medical practitioner but a village sorcerer.Secondly Africans should learn to improve their environment including their dwelling places.A village hut can be co-haunted by any wild creature hence snakes finding their comfort in there.Please build better structures even like chicken runs in towns.

MAY THE ALMIGHTY GOD TOUCH THE ONE IN THE HOSPITAL AND CONSOLES THE PARENTS.
VERY SAD INDEED FOR THE LOSS OF THE CHILD IN THIS CIRCUMSTANCES.
IT IS A LESSON TO BE BECAREFUL.
