A third year student at Kasama College of Education has committed suicide after reportedly failing his exams.
The student identified as Victor Kabuswe, 27 of Chisaga village died at Kasama General Hospital around 16 hours after taking a poisonous substance according to Radio Mano.
Uncle to the deceased who is also an employee at Kasama Teacher Training College, confirmed the death of his nephew but could not state what led to the suicide.
Friends to the deceased however say he took his life after having a bad day in the exam room.

We in upnd pass our condolences. Very sad. The levels of teaching are disappointing under the pf such that people are failing carelessly. Also the cost of education under pf is just too high such that this boy couldn’t fathom how to explain this to his sponsors. Very sad day
