‘PF And Edgar Lungu Don’t Need Hapunda To Penetrate Southern Province’

The revelations that Brian Hapunda leaked privileged information from State house on Kaizer Zulu, Mr Chilubanama and Mr Davies Mwila are shocking, unacceptable and a betrayal of trust. The PF should expel Hapunda because they will lose nothing and it will be good riddance. Hapunda has never led any organization and has never won any election apart from survival through boot licking and sticking like a tick to anyone with money and influence. He can’t help in growth of the PF in southern province because he simply doesn’t have leadership in his blood.

If president Lungu wants to penetrate southern province and increase his paltry presidential votes from 22 000 that he obtained in January to 100 000 that Rupiah Banda and Levy Mwanawasa used to score, he has to act now and act tactfully. Firstly, the PF has only the Livingstone Seat in parliament from Southern Province through Mr Evans who clearly won’t win it again in 2016 and I know this because I am a Livingstone resident. We need shadow MPs in all Cosmopolitan constituencies like Livingstone, Mazabuka central and Choma Central who can start campaigning and explaining government programs now. Secondly, we don’t have a provincial party Chairman strictly speaking and hence the party is not growing. The current chairman, Mr Hamududu, is just busy collecting bribes from PF members who aspire to stand on PF tickets, Sidelining those that he feels are too independent or are threats and does not travel to mobilize the party and he is not known by the public(voters) anyway. Thirdly, our provincial minister, Honourable Mubukwanu is a misfit here in southern province because he is an introvert, who sits in the office all the time, can’t think outside the box and doesn’t have charisma and will never do things differently. With these facts, PF shouldn’t expect growth in Southern Province.

What makes the PF think that Brian Hapunda is the only person who can help the party to grow in southern Province? Let the president know that Tongas are not good at recommending each other like the Bembas and Easterners and therefore People like Hon Siamunene will never mention any Tonga name with potential in front of the president especially his fellow valley Tongas of siavonga, Sinazongwe and Maamba. Ninjikala nabo sana kuno aba tonga 17 years, they dont help each other to rise. President Lungu should also know that Hon Inonge Wina will never recommend an influential Tonga to any position and hence we have ineffective people like Hon Mubukwanu and yet we have no shortage of leadership material amongst the Tongas who are committed PF members. Worse still, Hapunda now has brought this stigma that Tongas cant be loyal to PF and thus Inonge Wina will now sideline Tongas them more. There are people who are not even MPs now who can shape up southern province for the PF. This Hapunda theory should change. Why not try influential people who are liked by the public such as Mrs Ompi Nkumbula Liebenthal, Syacheye Madyenkuku, Edify Hamukale, Edgar Keembe (although he is in MMD), Vincent Malambo etc? That would make more sense than the current status quo approach.

Hapunda is a shame and we don’t want to see him here in Livingstone or else.Watusebanya nangu ninsala tefyo bacita.

From a reader based in Southern Livingstone.

Very foolish article. I thought such articles are meant for PF’s personal party meetings. Again they will claim that some one is stealing their secrets. Look PF you will not win as you have damaged the economy. The people of southern province are not dull and vote on merit. With this forget it:MOODY’S Investors Service has downgraded Zambia’s credit rating from stable to negative, putting it at B2, which is five steps below the investment grade.

The southern African nation, the second largest copper producer, is grappling with its worst-ever power shortage and metal prices that have fallen to six-year lows, prompting companies including Glencore Plc to halt operations.

The kwacha has fallen 41 per cent against the dollar this year, the worst performance among the world’s currencies.

Why call someone foolish? When you point a finger at someone as a fool, 3 fingers are pointing at you meaning you are 3 times that.

Its development that can make PF penetrate all provinces in general & southern province in particular, but at the moment, forget about this whole fantasy of penetration, you have failed to take development to most provinces since 2011 despite contracting huge amounts of eurobonds!Zambians have already decided for change,& its really imminent in 2016 next year-believe this blogging or trash it out,PF officials know this fact! Tongas can not be held hostage by mere personal appoints, they go for development & progressive realisation through proactive & radical policy competence & not otherwise, try Northern provinces for such primitive approach

We all know how Zambia decides for change because it’s us in pf who brought about that decision in 2011 when SP was fully occupied with tribalism.

      September 28, 2015 at 4:53 am

@Vampiros, yes, we know how the wind of change comes about but going on self destruction by keeping those to dunderheads in Mumbi Phiri and Davis Chama is like allowing a soccer team with the best defence to be scoring own goals.
I have all the points and means that will halt hakainde and his upnd in thirds tracks and I have reserved these for May-Sept 2016. But that will be in vain if you let Mumbi and Chama to be playing ‘walyako’ at the grenade safety pin within the camp. Pray hard I never get to meet hakainde.

I agree with the observation by NEZ, that this is material for PF MCC meeting. Organisational strategy is found in the office of the Secretary General. Sadly, the 2 biggest rifrafs in PF are the ones that occupy this office. What can Mumbi Phiri and Davis Chama do to reorganize, revitalize and buoy-up the party? Sincerely speaking, these two are a minus to party organisation. Have you wondered why NEZ’s party have stopped calling for their firing? Mumbi & Chama are a blessing to UPND!

    • Onyx power @vampiros

      September 28, 2015 at 5:24 am

Yes @kolwe all I see is the danger for the two to be in the same office. They are all the best to have for SG but it’s like they are trying to outshine each other. You know when you are too much engrossed in cadrism and you want the boss to think you’re better the the rest. All I can suggest is to separate them. Believe chama and mumbi are best for that position. If opposition has these qualities they would’ve been winning elections. Remember winter when he was SG.sounded useless but good for politics

    September 28, 2015 at 5:46 am

@kakolwe It’s also paramount to underscore the fact that the current situation doesn’t favour the elites and intellects to be fully engaged in politics alone but a combination of the elites and the caliber of the mumbis alike. See how upnd is failing to make a break through political wise. Believe me it will take decades for upnd to make an impact on the political scene because they luck strategy. You can’t have someone insulting all the time ati am party strategist.

Ati good for politics? Politics has been evolving from lies to civilised polite politics of the 21st century! Its naivety & suicidal for one to insinuate that rifrafs & unschooled Mumbi & Chama are good for their positions & late alone the PF to be voted back in office in 2016 when they lied twice(during the chief tribalist’ reign-Sata to-date with clueless & visionless Lungu)! These morons in PF together with their lounge lizards are very interesting! They are really in self-denial.The booeing which they received twice in Solwezi & once at heroes stadium is not a joke! They really have no message to canvass for votes now & no wonder they have resolved to intimidation & shootings, but for how long? Will they manage to shoot during next year’s elections, its a definitely NO!Wait after parliament is dissolved!

      September 28, 2015 at 8:06 am

In as much as we know that we are in 21st century applying strategies of 21st century in an environment of people who are in 19 and 20 century is missing the point. That’s why you see people of NW still see tribe than development in voting. To them a good road and infrastructure development amounts to nothing as long as the person bringing it to them as no blood connection to them. Be time wise.

UPND suporters thot its only kayula and Mj who want Tongas to change. I have reached a point where I feel lungu should come up with a new team to help PF win elections. Who is caring about voter registration and NRC in PF? The sadest part is with your DCs. Mr president we shall never forgive you if PF is removed out of power

good point @kayula,the president need new team and get rid of some mps sata left, coz we as pf have observed that with current mps they are not helping him.

Did someone else (apart Hapunda) leak this document? This should be addressed to hyenas now running the show in PF not the media. My observation is that Edgar is having it hard to discipline or fire the likes of Chama, Mumbi even removing the mic from Kambwili’s pie hole. Why? These are the same people who did dirty work decampaigning Guy Scott and consolidating his candidacy. Basically he owes them. As @kakolwe said these are assets for UPND it justifies why WE said Edgar surrounded himself with screwheads not only in PF but in running the Govt too. As for me they are a good bunch of cancer eating it’s own host inside out.

One way of penetration is to do politics of inclusiveness. Am afraid, that is lacking in cabinet, parastatals and foreign service and in the language of pf, their cadres and sg office. It appears the few who hold influential positions in leadership who hail west of the line of rail are mostly cosmetic. Pf must build a sense of nationalism. Already some cadres are bringing in Hapunda’s tribe rather judge him based on his character. The good part by author is that his alleged offense has been reduced from leaking classified information to privileged information despite the clear tribal prejudice in the article. Otherwise I see nothing classified in what he said other than exposing crime.

Pf has missed people who can change things in sp. The little contribution from sp matters a lot. The author is correct about sp strategists.
Here we also have the brains that make sense. Entertainment and educative characters generous with ideas that matter and nonsense.
But I think all are fools. ?
