Cops Nab 22-Year-Old Man Of Chinsali For Allegedly Raping A 79- Year-Old Woman
POLICE in Chinsali have arrested a 22-year-old man of Choshi village for allegedly raping a 79- year-old woman of Masandiko village.
Muchinga Province commissioner of police Auxensio Daka said in an interview yesterday that the incident happened on Friday around 20:00 hours.
Mr Daka identified the suspect as James Mutale.
He said Mutale allegedly broke into the woman’s hut while she was asleep and raped her.
“The suspect allegedly broke into the old woman’s house at night as she was sleeping and allegedly raped her but luckily, she was able to identify him. He will appear in court soon,” he said.
And Police in Isoka are looking for a 33-year-old man of Longwe village for allegedly defiling and impregnating his 15-year-old step daughter.
Mr Daka identified the suspect as Robert Simwanza.
He said the girl’s mother reported the matter to the police after discovering that her daughter was four months pregnant.
