FODEP Defends Nkana MP
The Foundation for Democratic Process (FODEP) says it is undemocratic and dictatorial for the Patriotic Front to ask its Nkana Member of Parliament Luxon Kazabu to resign for merely signing a Police bond for a relative who happens to be a member of the opposition.
FODEP Executive Director Macdonald Chipenzi says the PF should practice what they are preaching which is love and reconciliation which entails helping everybody including their perceived enemies.
Mr. Chipenzi says asking Mr. Kazabu to resign for merely signing Police bond for a UPND member who is his relative amounts to hypocrisy.
He points out that the PF have been getting members of other political parties to work with them in government, but that it becomes a problem for a member of the ruling party to help an opposition member, which he says is unfair.
Mr. Chipenzi further states that signing Police bond for someone from the opposition is not a political matter, but a legal one thus the issue should not be politicized.
He has since urged the Patriotic Front to lead by example in their call for forgiveness and reconciliation.

well said Chipenzi. Kazabu is at liberty to sign bond for anyone he feels like. what is wrong with that? if Lungu (pf) is protecting RB (mmd) why cant Kazabu support is relative?

Fodep under chipenzi has sunk to its lowest.How does it become FODEP’S responsibility to speak for Kazabu a PF MP?.were was Chipenzi wen Lubinda was being victimized by Kabimba?is it becoz Kazabu is fellow Tonga?apart from failing to develop his constituency even failing to reapir the road were he stays,Kazabu in Kitwe is knon to be UPND and hence being dropped as deputy minister of agriculture.a day before elections,he hosted a UPND meeting at his place in Kitwe were he dished out money to campaign for HH.

Popular Katangese businessman Moise Katumbi has quit the ruling party PPRD in what many observers say is sending shivers to Democratic Republican of Congo President Joseph Kabila whose mandate to govern the vast central African nation expires next year.

in as much as signing for a relative is not as bad as political sensitive people may persive, circumstance could not allow as an MP belonging to a ruling party bailing out a cadre belonging to an oposition camp.
