Ruggers Off For Safari Sevens

ZAMBIA-NIGERIA-RUGBY-624x583THE Zambia rugby national team yesterday left for Nairobi to compete in the Safari Sevens International tournament.
Zambia Rugby Union general secretary Francis Chitambo said in Lusaka yesterday that national sevens team coach Reuben Mkandawire has picked a strong side that will challenge for the title.
Chitambo said the technical bench will use the two-day event starting tomorrow to gauge the players ahead of the Olympic Games qualifying tournament billed for South Africa this month-end
Chitambo named the players that travelled as Teddius Chipoya, Larry Kaushiku, Sernard Kashimoto, Israel Kalumba and Leonard Malipenga.
Others are Andrew Mwape, Peter Lishika, William Mukuka, Hassan Bwalya, Norman Mwamba and Edmond Hamayawa.
