Lusaka Hubby Impregnates Neighbourhood Girl, Embarrasses Wife
A Lusaka house wife has narrated how her adulterous husband has caused her embarrassment by impregnating a girl from their neighbourhood.
Mwila Cheba of Chazanga township also complained that her husband David Cheba shamelessly used the same Shi Bukombe he used for their marriage to start marriage negotiations with the family of the girl he had impregnated without her knowledge.
Mwila, 25, said this when she appeared in the Matero local court after being sued by David, 29, of the same township for divorce.
Senior local magistrates Pauline Newa and Lewis Mumba heard that the couple got married in 2012 and have one child together.
“My husband and his Shi Bukombe started marriage negotiations and later started making preparations for marriage. I left my matrimonial home when I discovered what was going on because we started having marital problems. We have been on separation for two years,” she said.
Mwila said took David to Victim Support Unit (VSU) because he has been failing to financially support their child.
But in his statement, David complained that Mwila and her parents have no respect for him.
“Mwila also drinks too much alcohol and does not care about our child. I want a divorce because I am fed of her behaviour,” he said.
David denied having extra marital affairs. He told the court that Mwila caused all the problems they were experiencing in their marriage.
“I want a divorce, the three years of marriage with Mwila have been a disaster for me; we’ve had several meetings to counsel us but none have been fruitful,” he said.
Passing judgment, the court granted divorce and ordered David pay Mwila K6,000 as compensation with an initial instalment of K500 to be followed by K250 monthly.
David was also ordered to pay K200 monthly as child maintenance starting October month end.

Government has said that there is no justification for millers to increase the price of Mealie meal. Chief Government Spokesperson Chishimba Kambwili has said that the depreciation of the Kwacha has not affected the millers in anyway because the maize they have now was bought last year and at a reduced price.
Mr. Kambwili who is also Information Minister has told ZNBC News in a Telephone interview that there is need for everyone to be responsible and sympathetic to the current economic situation that most countries in Africa are going through.

Millers Association of Zambia President Allan Sakala announced at a media briefing in Lusaka on Sunday that his association has resolved to increase the price of Mealie Meal by 10 and 15 Kwacha on a 25 Kilogram bag effective this week.
Mr. Sakala said that the increment is due to high production costs as a result of load shedding.

Pillar and Kambwili are both out of topic. Kambwili talks about depeciation of the kwacha having not affected the millers when the millers are saying reason is high cost of production due to load shedding. Probably the kwacha affects them because they have to buy spare parts for their milling plants in dollars.
