KITWE District Commissioner Chanda Kabwe has said that all police stations in Kitwe are not holding on to any snake as reported in some online media.
Reacting to the riotous behaviour in Kitwe in which a church for the named pastor has been burnt after word went round that he had turned into a snake; Mr Kabwe said his office could have already exposed it.
Mr Kabwe who has called for calm among residents has also asked Prophets to check themselves because their works are seen by the people and any questionable conduct can cause a volatile situation.
He said prophets will fail to claim innocence if life is lost.
The DC said soon after the rioted had started some pastors that preach in buses were beaten at Kitwe Main Bus (KMB) satiation.
“These fake Prophets are causing more harm than good and asking them to check themselves before they lead to loss of lives in the city,” he said.
Mr Kabwe has since appealed to Kitwe residents to return to their normal businesses and avoid treading fake rumours with a view of demonizing some people.
