JTI Leaf Zambia Limited – General Manager (Mike Roach) is an
ARROGANT BOSS,
A RACIST!
We are requesting that this news be exposed about
our new General Manager
by the names of Mike Roach at JTI Leaf Zambia Limited.
This Man has brought
confusion and misery since he joined the company in
December last year, on
his transfer from Geneva where he was shunted after
having been deported
from Malawi on similar complaints by employees. Barely a
year in office, he
has made sure that he fights all Zambian Management Staff
that are not
bootlickers and are able to stand up against him for that which is
right.
We are urgently requesting the following powers that be to ensure that
Mike
Roach is deported out of this country within 30 days of the publication
of
this of this news.
Here is a synopsis of his clandestine activities at
JTI Leaf Zambia
Limited, Trinity office Park in Lusaka;
Mike Roach came to
Zambia after our very good and caring boss, Rob Royle
was transferred to Geneva
by the powers that be in JTI Global. Rob was and
is a very professional,
respectable and generous person. He is a Man one
would want to work with for
the rest of your career, we really do miss Rob
as employees at the center of
JTI Leaf Zambia Limited.
Since Mike came in, he has made sure a lot of us are
bruised from right to
center; a honorable and hardworking Chief Financial
Officer (CFO) by the
names of Ennie Kihedu – Tanzanian by nationality with over
10 years working
for JTI, was unceremoniously fired and made to park her office
belongings
like a casual worker. This was all Mike’s activities aiming at
intimidating
all those that are opposed to his leadership style and are able to
stand up
and say NO, this is wrong. He fought such a vicious battle by
embarrassing
this hardworking and upright woman till she was dismissed. A lot
of
employees were shocked to learn of such a development within three
months
of Mike’s coming to Zambia. Before this incident, JTI Leaf Zambia
Limited
was a very good place to work from, but this is a thing of the past as
this
Man has declared war at all employees, this includes his muzungu
anikondes
like the current CFO – Victor Mundia who is currently subjected to
all
sorts of directives and commands to execute on behalf of Mike.
Victor
Mundia is a very useless Accountant who can’t even think for a second,
all
he does at the moment is carry out all instructions given to him by
Mike.
Victor can never manage the responsibility bestowed on him as CFO,
never.
The Man is too raw for this position of CFO and the quicker this is
sorted,
the better for JTI as a global Company. He can never handle any issue
alone
before reporting employees to Mike who happens to be his savior and
master.
Currently we have all sorts of disciplinary cases going on; Mike
has
instructed Victor Mundia to suspend our hardworking and focused
Manager
in-charge of Farmer Financing – Winston Magutswi, and you can imagine
this
Victor Mundia goes on to carry out the instruction without thinking.
This
is the same Victor Mundia who went to report Winston Magutswi to the
GM.
Paul Chiimba our Leaf Operations Manager FCV Kaoma, has just been given
a
letter of dismissal by another muzungu anikonde in the name of
Nchimunya
Chigwedere who is our Human Resource & Administration Manager, all
this
under Mike Roach’s scanting instructions.
Andrew Tembo is another
victim whose fate has already been decided by
Mike’s via another bwana anikonde
by the name of Carl Rorbye – our Leaf
Operations Manager FCV.
There is more
coming as Mike’s plan at the moment is to ensure that he
crashes all these
qualified Zambian workers and carry on with his scheme of
employing White guys
in jobs that can be carried out by Zambians. What he
has forgotten because of
his arrogance and greedy is this that the people
affected are not resting. We
will take Mike on until he is deported out of
this country, whether dead or
alive, this will be done in his face. We are
tired and will not allow one Man
destroy that strong bond we have had
before he came in with his rhetoric
behavior.
Mike uses words like; f…..ck you, I will fire you, I will suspend
you,
fool, get out, I don’t care, you can report me anywhere, go and tell
me,
tell me, I will charge you, I want this done without fail etc.
to
intimidate and frustrate employees in the organization. This is our
first
appeal to the office of the President, Ministry of Labour, Ministry
of
Justice, Director General – Immigration department to at all costs
deport
Mike out of this country, failure to which, we as employees will deal
with
him so hard that he will regret ever having come to Zambia!
Enough is
enough!

Complaints like you in other countries countries would mobilize themselves, stop work and protest until such a person is removed. Zambians are cowardly, therefore just write anonymous letters with the hope that their cries could be hear. It won’t work!!,! Stop being docile, came out and protest, bangwele, ba mbuli!!!!

@Ching LI- They cannot stop work because of two reasons-
1. JTI pays way above the market rate.
2. These individuals are incompetent and can easily be replaced.
Zambians must compete on excellence and not regulatory favoritism, a socialistic principle which often has catastrophic ramifications. Good work Mike Roach! Let them earn their Red and Brown Hyundais they drive and those new Corollas.

Thanks for the feedback. My comment was based on the assumption that those allegations are true. If true, then Zambians should address it more bravely. If the allegations are false as you have said then author should be discovered, sued for defamation and fired for unprofessional conduct.

This is unacceptable in our own country.He should be deported.Its high time govt should start cleaning up such person who victimize and harass Zambian.they should be deported so that he join his colleagues as illegal immigrates.Immigration dept should start inspecting foreigners who are on work permit.U should also make a stop over to Livingstone,They are a lot.

Chifita, please carry out your own investigations just as I did. You will find out that the chap who has written this is one of those that are lazy. Our General Manger only wants to see results. Nothing wrong with demanding for results. The biggest problem with us is that we want to sit in offices doing nothing but planning to steal and stealing.

Let him be reminded that this is not GENEVA, if he can’t behave himself and treat employees with respect, let him be deported like it happened to him in Malawi. He is just a frustrated looser no wonder they keep posting it to Africa.

Hahahaha, well what an article written by a scared and disgruntled employee. JTI employees are very opulent and frivolous in expenditure. Driving company cars like they are their own and getting luxurious salaries when the price of Zambian tobacco is under pressure due to market concerns about fertilizer content and generally the Chinese slowdown. I am very confident that the individuals fired are incompetent in some regard, because a chartered accountant must complain to ZICA and not to Tumfweko.com. It is time JTI employees, especially management take it in their stride and start performing to Mike Roach’s standard. JTI is not a listed company and the Labor office must stay away from these unsubstantiated claims.

To every story there is another side.The person complaining has given his side and sounds disgruntled. We should also get information from the people he is complaining about so that we have a balanced story.

This will not end well. With the way things are going, I can predict that the person who wrote this is in the finance department- hence why he is hell-bent on finance managers being fired.

uuuum, wouldn’t comment without inside information. And new management always comes with change, it cant be status quo as usual. Try to adapt to change and produce the results requested. There is no way someone will be unhappy with you from no where. Why are these individuals being reported in the first place by fellow Zambians? Tell us what the accusations against the fired individuals were. No one will fire an individual without legal cause.
Even the fact that you bring this matter to this forum which cant do anything signals that you want to intimidate your boss. Please go to the Labor office instead of resorting to this unpleasant and one sided kind of communication

The government should take time to investigate these matters Zambians are subjected to so much abuse by these so call expats. In our own country we can not have foreigners at time with no proper qualifications treating us like salves
