LETTER FROM DR RAJAN MAHTANI – CHAIRMAN PRISON FELLOWSHIP ZAMBIA CONCERNING:- 18TH OCTOBER – DAY OF PRAYER AND FASTING DECLARED BY HIS EXCELLENCY THE PRESIDENT
In the recent past we have observed voluminous comments exchanged in favour and against the decision of His Excellency the President’s decree regarding the day for Zambia’s prayer and fasting.
We lamentably notice parties being judgemental contrary to God’s command. Matthew 7 v 1 to 4 reads “Judge not that ye be not judged. For with what judgement ye judge, ye shall be judged; and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?
“Then said Jesus, ‘Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do.” (Luke 23:34,KJV)
When you’ve been hurt or offended, sometimes it’s tempting to hold on to unforgiveness. But we have to remember, when people wrong us, our battle is not against flesh and blood. In other words, that person who hurt you is not the real enemy. The Bible says that your adversary is the devil, and he knows that if you don’t forgive, your prayers won’t be effective.
Unforgiveness puts up a barrier in your life to the power of God. In fact, if you don’t forgive others, we can’t be forgiven by God. However, when you choose forgiveness, you open the door for God’s healing power to flow through you!
Disarm the enemy in your life today by choosing forgiveness. Bless those who curse you and pray for those who wrong you. Look at what Jesus did – when He was betrayed, beaten, mocked and disrespected, He chose to forgive. Follow His example, and open the door for victory in every area of your life.
The fervent prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective (James 5 v15) “This is the Assurance we have in approaching God: that if we ask anything according to His will, he hears us. And if we know that he hears us – whatever we ask – we know that we have what we asked of him.” ( 1 John 5 v 14 and 15).
“I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone – for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good, and pleases God our Saviour, who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.” (1 Timothy 2 v 1 – 4)
“Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ…”
(2 Corinthians 2:14, NKJV )
God promises to always lead us into victory! That means no matter what you are facing, no matter what’s going on in the world around you, no matter what anybody says, you should always be planning for a comeback! In the middle of that adversity or tough time, start making your list of who you’re going to invite to your victory celebration.
God wants His people to be the most blessed! He wants His people to increase so they can live as an example of His goodness. But in order to partake of everything He has in store for us, we have to be open to what He wants to do in our lives. We have to have a vision for increase. If you’re not expecting favour, if you just get satisfied with where you are, then you’re living below your privileges. But if you will get a vision for increase, a vision of who you are as a child of the Most High God, you’ll see supernatural opportunities, favour and increase in your life.
“ I came that they may have life and have it abundantly” (John 10 v 10)
“In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. Until now you have not asked for anything in my name. Ask and you will receive, and your joy will be complete.” (John 16 v 23 and 24).
If you live with a strong sense of expectancy, then God will bless you and use you in a powerful way. It is difficult for some people to imagine this, but you must come to the realisation that God is so much bigger than anything you will ever face. So why would you not live your life expecting Him to give you victory? God intends for you to be a champion, not a defeated person. If you claim victory and expect victory, you will get it along with a greater sense of power and peace! God wants you to live abundantly, so learn to expect His abundance.
May our Lord richly bless you and yours.

Well spoke- writen! but excuse me, is mr Mahtani a christian? I have just heard his name associated with big time bad deals. Where does Mr Mahtani worship? who is his pastor! Prison ministry is not a church.

Mahtani’s words do not match his actions. Mathani is a crooked person, holds bible in left hand while right hands holds a dagger. More he opens his mouth and takes name of our Lord Jesus Christ in vain, more he reminds all those who lost their livelihood, businesses, homes the wickedness of this person.
Hypocrite! Well did Isaiah prophesy about you, Mr. Mahtani, saying: These people draw near to Me with their mouth, And honor Me with their lips, But their heart is far from Me. And in vain they worship Me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.
Matthew 15:7-9
We read in Luke 6:46 where our Lord asked a straightforward question: “Why do you call me Lord, Lord and do not the things which I say.”
A person may hide their deception from their fellow man but every attempt to do so with God will inevitably fail.
WHY IS MAHTANI IN SUCH DECEPTION?
It stems from a “heart problem”.
The Bible teaches that what is in the heart of a man determines what kind of a man he is. Consider: “For as he thinks in his heart, so is he.” Proverbs 23:7.

The heading is different from what’s written. The writer has no clue about the bible therefore decides to quote the bible throughout.

This is why I skip church Sundays this is typical of most preachers they think bombardment of scriptures on the congregation that’s “powerful” message. That’s foolish speak a language that edifices them. In this case what’s his comment on the 18th? Nothing. Blah blah blah then they force us to go and listen to them. Mxm

The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom but fools despise her.Proverbs 1:7.Those that can’t understand what Mr Matani has said, are either not committed or not even christians hence they can’t c the need to forgive and judge others.AMEN!

Why do we have courts of law then? A thief, money launderer, killer, rapist or an enemy of the state can recite verses from Bible and seeks forgiveness, he shall be forgiven? That is what you relative of Mahtani proposing? If that was the law, every criminal shall be roaming on the streets and there would not be any need for prisons in the world, no need for judges, steal, kill, rape and ask for forgiveness, case closed. Ka Mahtani’s ka relative, shut up. He is a criminal and shall go in. He shall pay for his sins. Vainful and vengeful Ka Mahtani, your time to account for all your sins has come.

Do not judge. God knows each one of us. All we can do is to humble ourselves, repent our sins and ask for whatever we want from our God. He is faithful and just to forgive our sins. We have all fallen short of the Glory of God.
