Don’t Be Discouraged, EFZ Implores Zambians To Pray and Fast

The Evangelical Fellowship of Zambia (EFZ) has allayed fears that the declared day of prayer and fasting is linked to Satanism.

EFZ Executive Director Reverend Pukuta Mwanza says the rumor is mere superstition aimed at frustrating people and discouraging them from taking part in the prayer and fasting.

Rev Mwanza says October 18th has nothing to do with the mark of the beast and hence people should not allow aPukuta Mnyone to mislead them not to participate in the prayer and fasting.

He explains that prayers can be conducted any day and anytime regardless of what the devil is planning, adding that the devil did not create any of the seven days.

Rev. Mwanza says what is important is for people to know who they are praying to, stressing that people will be praying to God on the 18th of October and not to the devil and hence it does not matter what plans the devil has.

He has since encouraged Zambians not to pay attention to any rumors aimed at misleading and discouraging them from participating in the prayer and fasting.

Meanwhile Governance Activist, Maurice Malambo says the message circulating linking 18th October to the mark of the beast 666 is a misinterpretation of the Bible and deserves to be treated with the contempt it deserves.

Mr. Malambo says people opposed to the declaration of the prayer and fasting day either lack understanding or are merely opposed to the leadership of President Edgar Lungu.

It is not linked to Satanism but it is for gaining political mileage. You are among those pastor we have they have been bribed to manipulate people into believing that only God can solve our challenges not our leaders. The message is welcome but they should also stop forcing people to fast as this is bringing a lot of suspicions.

I doubt if you are Paul Phiri because you sound like you are Aul Hiri. You are a servant of sin, you better repent before it is too late for you.How can you say the pastor has been bought.Your heart is evil.

Paul Phiri seem to be suffering from verbal diarrhea, whether you like it or not majority Zambians will fast and pray on 18th. It will be a success and God will answer our prayers. Satanists are in trouble especially that you cannot discourage anyone except your few minority.

Who is forcing who here? The decision is entirely up to yourself whether to participate or not. However, bear in mind that the majority will be praying and fasting. Some have even started before the actual date. No room for satanism, only confusion in your wicked marine world.

I mean it pipo some political part against 18th have lost it forever & it will never be heard of it in our political system. They have judged themselves to death. God is God & He will remain with His Might Power forever & ever. Amen.

Bible doesn’t say prayer is powerful but the prayer of a righteous man is effective. In short prayers of the unrighteous and wicked ones is very weak. It is faith based on love which moves mountains and not just because people have prayed. Zambians need humility of heart than outward conformation.

Praying and being answered are totally different because many are called but few are chosen. it is those who humble themselves who qualify to move the heart of God by their prayers of faith. Some people think God is a computer which they can manipulate. He can not be mocked nor bought by people. People are going into these prayers full of insults and they believe God will answer them, kikikiki.

As for me, on this day called 18th, I will pray for myself and this Government (PF) to lose elections next year or removed from power somehow. Anything short of that is hypocritical because we all know how this mess started . I am not going to take part in the mocking of God.
