Kazungula Prophet Admits ‘I Impregnated My Brother’s Wife’

A PROPHET of Kazungula has admitted impregnating his brother’s wife, who was left in his care for prayers after she fell ill.
This is in a case in which Kenneth, Hamoonga, 47 sued his young brother Charles Hamoonga, 45 for impregnating his wife and was seeking compensation of K10, 000.
Kenneth narrated before the Livingstone local court that when his wife fell ill, his young brother Charles, the prophet, requested that the sister-in-law stayed with him so he could pray for her.
“Charles claimed he could heal my wife through prayers. This never happened instead, he gave her a baby. I am asking for compensation of K10,000 because what he did hurts,” he said.
He said Charles took advantage of his wife’s situation and had sex with her resulting in a pregnancy.
He said the child was born last year but up to now it has no name because Charles who is the biological father has refused to name him.
Kenneth married his wife in 1997 and they have five children.
In his defence, Charles admitted impregnating Kenneth’s wife, and that he was ready to pay K 5, 000 instead of K10,000 compensation that was being demanded.
Charles told the court that he has been a prophet since 2009 and he prayed for healing of sick people.
Passing judgment, Livingstone principal presiding local court magistrate Harrison Kabwenga asked Charles to pay K 6,000 as compensation with down payment of K3, 000 and the balance to be paid in monthly instalments of K500.
The court also blamed Kenneth for not accompanying his wife during the prayers.
